A bit of boath :) . First i can recommend reading the documentation, second there is a side called nodebase.info from one of the developer of scene nodes and core4d started a beginners series on theyer youtube channel (just search for core4d on youtube). And you can join the "C4D Procedural" discord channel if you have questions, a lot of Scene Node Cracks there ;)
Hey, do you know a way to get only the End Caps after the Extrude Node? I want to have them seperate so I have another layer of geometry on top of the base geometry.
The Extrude Node generates the same Polygon Selections as the normal Extrude Object. The End Caps are called "C2". So just use a Delete Node and type in: all-"C2" . This deletes everything except the the End Caps. Hope that helps.
I am struggling to follow the annotation note in your scene file. It seems to reference a node group that is unnamed/not visible. Is there any chance you could clarify the instructions please. Thank you.
Go inside the „Loop Caried Value“ Node and rewire the first wire at the left side ( the brown one wich goes from the input "Variable 1" to the "Explode Mesh Island" Node)
thanks for your tutorial. When I reopen the project, I need to relink the time node everytime to get the correct result. The solution is instead of using time node, I connect the time value of the noise node to the input and make keyframe on it. Is it a bug of time node?
I was LOVING this tutorial but I could only get so far. I managed to get everything dividing properly however when we started to try and chamfer the geo it doesn't work. No matter what I do it just doesn't output any geo at all. I have watched this one multiple times now and followed everything to the letter and can't for the life of me work out what I have done wrong. I am using C4D 2024.0.0 is it a version issue I wonder. Will keep digging as I really want to finish this tutorial. Very hard to find scene node tutorials as good as this one.
Hi Graeme glad you like it. Yes this could be a version issue. I did my setup in 2024.3 and didn't test it with earlier versions. Try to update your c4d and if you still have issues, send me your scene file, so I can take a look. You can find my email in the channel description.
