a Battle Fortress is more powerful when you put elite units inside. if you have 4-5 filled with 4 Elite Guardian GIs and an elite Sniper or Virus, then nothing can get through them because their increased rate of fire. you can kill enemy infantry fron great distances and enemy tanks and aircraft very quickly.
