Also, I find it funny how those big "old" cannons can't fire without being powered up. I mean yeah makes sense realistically that those old guns probably need motorised assistance and tracking software if they're going to be used for more than just showpieces but at the same time, you'd think that those reskinned Grand Cannons (that's what they are, right?) would be able to fire on targets without the need for power. Or that they might have internal generators. Or because the Soviet Union has a lot of manpower it could be implied there's a lot of people pushing the things into position...
15:33 Drones and V3s. That's the combination I used in the original Soviet campaign against Yuri before Escape Velocity (besides flak tracks for AA). 17:16 Makes sense because they have a lower ThreatPosed rating.
So i have 2 thought: 1: If you don't build a shipyard, will navy units still come to attack your base? If not, or if it's just dreadnought: can you place a bunch of discs at the harbour exit to intercept the cargo ships, or will they be attacked by sea scorpions? 2: Can you move your base to the other side of the bay? Can you cut yourself off from the endless waves of tanks?
17:29 Seems like not building a harbor is better, since those sea scorpions now sit idle, not even going for the nearby discs. Dreadnoughts are still attacking, but have to pass through the same bottleneck.
Yuri clones are great... until the Soviets deploy Terror Drones... Actually what does happen to the Terror Drone when it infects a Slave Miner? Does it get destroyed when the Miner is deployed or does it sit there and wait until it turns back into a vehicle? Or does it keep attacking as if it's business as usual?
Translator here, this mission was released at least 3 years ago to the Chinese RA2 community, that’s before a lot of the recent things happen around the world
