1:35 did not expect veteran + Firepower to *surpass* Elite, even by that margin. 2:43 Elite Boris is worth 3 x $1500 = $4500 for promotions, and those Rhinos are worth 3 x $900 = $2700, just so you know :) 2:56 Elite Boris again 3 x $1500 = $4500, Veteran Apocalypse 2 x $1750 = $3500.
@@sonnykero Not at all. Tanya and SEALs, and in Mental Omega dogs too, don't actually swim, they just walk over water but have sprites that make them *look* like they're swimming. Water in the C&C-engine (TibDawn all the way to RA2) is just different-looking land, with some special logics attached related to units "sinking", water-sparkles, etc., that regular units are not allowed to traverse. This *may* be related to how Dune II was a water-less desert-land, because it used the C&C-engine, all the way back in 1992, and has been upgraded continuously ever since.
So the best unit you can have in the game, is an elite Battle Fortress (with all the upgrades), with x2 elite Boris (with all the upgrades) inside, and x3 GGI (with all the upgrades) inside. Although that'd still be rubbish at taking out structures... so maybe swap some of those GGI's for GI's.
Thank you for doing this one, promoted and firepower-upgraded Boris is my absolute favorite. As the video shows, get him to Elite with firepower upgrade and he can destroy entire armies in seconds. He has very few weaknesses (useless against aircraft and vulnerable to base defenses if he's too close) and the AI has no idea how to fight him at all. So much fun on a small map!
I have a question, if you set all units that are immune to mind control as being vulnerable to them, how would certain units react? I was editing rulesmd and I set this all for units like Tanya, Soviet Attack Dog, Robot Tank, Mastermind etc... I'm curious as to what happens to the 5 slaves if you mind control a slave miner or you get a mind controlled yuri clone to capture somethng and then you relinquish the clone from your mind control. How could robot tanks operate once they're mind controlled? I have so many questions, so um, please dig into mind control physics in the game and see what's possible and what's not with some ini editing.
Play the map "Dune Patrol" with crates on. It's a tiny map and there's always a crate available somewhere. Lots of fun if you like pounding the computer opponent!
You guys heard of the Dwarven Atom Smasher? This here (the elite battle fortress with 5 elite firepower boris) is called a Soviet Atom Smasher. All you need is one of those and the AI will get ripped apart in mere seconds! Have a yuri clone take a battle fortress for you and this monster can take on 7 brutal bots and win.
No it's not. Though if those apocalypse tanks attacked BF wouldn't last for that long, but Prism Tank wouldn't do a little bit of Boris Fortress damage.
