One thing I sometimes do is that I’ll load a CL into an IFV and attack the repair house of a bridge. It take forever, but you can erase the repair house permanently. It can’t be done by the CL itself though. If I remember correctly the IFV get promoted to elite after the bridge repair house is removed.
Yeah. The only thing that could fight it is a group of Mastermind rushed in. Once you controlled the Battle Fortress, everything in it will attack whatever you call that mind controlled battle fortress attack.
But it can't shoot up. So just have air units and/or rockets/artillery to deal with it. Yuri deals with it much easier, by mind controlling it. Soviets can easily deal with it using mass terror drones, which is much cheaper than a battlefortress garrisoned with chrono legionnaires. How many terror drones required depends on how many chrono legionnaires are garrisoned. If there's 5 chrono legionnaires, then prepare 6 terror drones. That's 3000, in comparison to 9500 (7500+2000).
@Pleum.7 Then just send another terror drone to eat the IFV. That's $500 while they have to expend another $1100. Or you could spend the same price and get a siege chopper instead. Or if you don't want to use terror drones, use V3s, that's only $3200 for 4xV3. Either way, battle fortress and full chrono legionnaire is a money sink that cripples a chrono legionnaire. If the chrono legionnaire is inside the battle fortress, it can't teleport around and makes the whole thing easy to be mind controlled.
@Minh Nguyễn Hmm... I haven't tried with Yuris inside the Battle Fortress, but I do know for Chrono Legionaires, I can force them to shoot at my target.
You didn’t add the ability to trade them for Tesla coils and prism towers. If you use a crazy Ivan or a spy-enabled chrono Ivan to put a dynamite on a chono legionnaire, you can kill a Tesla coil or prism tower instantly. With the dynamited chrono legionnaire, you jump them to a very specific spot at the two o’clock position right next to the enemy structure. This will get you as close as you can possibly get to the structure. One shot from said structure to the chrono legionnaire will detonate him, causing enough damage to the structure to kill it immediately. If you dynamite up four of five chrono legionnaires and then waypoint them to a different defensive structure each, you can kill all of them at once right before you go in with your army. Works on battle bunkers, sentry guns, pillboxes and Gatling guns as well.
The new graphic for the crate is the Aperture Science Companion Cube from the game Portal, remade as a sprite for RA2YR temperate theater by community member Mig Eater. He's also the creator of the D-Day mod for YR. Note regarding 2:22: this only happens if the ProduceCashDelay timer actually expires; it is then reset if recaptured. In order to make sure the delay expires, keep it under Temporal effect for roughly 3.5s Minor nitpick at 3:17: the Legionnaires protected from the nuke blast, not radiation (though it can be used as such, but it can be quite tricky).
Funfact: You can also use Chronosphere on CL without killing them. This prevents them from freezing in time on long distances and enables them to attack right away.
The last two are kinda bonkers. If I knew I cud use chronotroopers to phase my buildings to dodge attacks I would have abused that in the final Allies mission in RA2 where you invade Moscow. I restarted that mission so many times as a kid cause of the nukes wrecking my base. Instead I just tried to cheese the nukes by taking out their power with the chronitroopers.
I liked piling them into the Battle Fortresses and then rolling a fleet of Chrono Battle Fortresses in to start wiping everything out. Put a couple anti air units in there and they're hard to stop.
You forgot when harriers come in for a bombing run, you attack your own building with chrono legionaries, so the harrier bombs go right through the building.
1:48 is the point of this one that a Chrono Legionnaire can help out a Terror Drone by incapacitating its target? Because if it is, we should consider that regardless of the Terror Drone being in there, the Chrono legionnaire would've deleted the target anyway. The Chrono Legionnaire does not "help" the Terror Drone, it makes it obsolete. And in this line of thought, one should in fact not use these units together.
@@Mattyrocks1000 Wait, are they though? I've always believed health didn't make any difference for Chrono Legionairs, though if you can show that that's the case, I will have learned something new! EDIT: I do think that TG - Sacred has unfortunately made a video that disproves your point.. I would link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-InOCLUyOg6c.html&ab_channel=tg-sacred , check the 5:45 min mark
3.5 seconds, actually; ProduceCashDelay needs to expire to make Derricks and other money makers useless. Since you can't be sure when the delay is nearly expired before auto-reset, best to keep it under Temporal effect for the number of frames defined by ProduceCashDelay; that'd be roughly 3.5s on game speed 4 or 30FPS.
It does; capturing a building that produces cash after it was attacked with a Temporal warhead like the Chrono Legionnaire's resets the ProduceCashDelay timer, and the Derrick makes money again.
Awesome tactic, really. Unless an enemy catches you in the act they’ll have a hard time noticing it, and from what i understand it has to flip colors to regain its ability.
One of my favourite uses for Chrono Legionnaires was in the Hollywood Mission. 1 Battle Fortress, 1 Seal, 4 Legionnaires. The Seal makes sure none of Yuris Clones comes near to the Fortress and the Legionnaires erase nearly everything what comes to them
I often use them as either an add-on or reactionary group to base defenses as they're a safe way to deal with any singular unit, specially demo trucks. They're also nice to hide behind trees and the like whenever an enemy goes by, or perhaps even at a remote orefield to remove enemy miners if the enemy doesn't manage them or notice.
@@tg.Sacred I never knew!! If I attack it with a tank of mine and resend engineer in would that work? I’m trying to figure out ways to make that work cuz I always chrono it on tsunami
@@IhabZein The reason it stops making money is the ProduceCashDelay timer expiring (at least roughly 3.5s); usually it's auto-reset before that happens, but not when attacked with a Temporal warhead like the CL's: timer expires without being reset when under Temporal effects. That timer, from what I tested, is then only reset when actually capturing the building; I don't think repairing with engineer resets it, but it might.
There is a trick that I use, since this unit when jumping a long distance takes time to be moved again, I give it a path with much shorter distances so it cut down on the time to be used again
Holy crap, a CL can completely stop an Oil Derrick giving you cash? Does it stay broken if someone else caps it, or does it give cash again? EDIT: Found another comment that says it does start working again if someone else captures it.
The best part about it is that the opponent usually doesnt even notice it happened at all. You don't get a notification that you're under attack when CL tags you. It quietly sabotages their economy and you just need to stall a bit till you are just too powerful to counter.
lol the last clip, like that parody when Gandalf wants to leave but Saruman is trolling him by closing the doors ("teh lurd of teh reings" or something) edit: also the #1 CL use it to jump around randomly so the opponent gets nervous and paranoid
A Battle Fortress loaded with 5 Chrono Legionnaires would cost 12,000 credits total and require Tier 3 so it is not a surprise that it would be so powerful costing more then twice the price of a superweapon.
what is the name of the transformation, of the torque in the suffering 1, if in the two it is called "good, neutral and bad, what is the name of the transformation of it in the 1?
