I can't watch right now, because I have to prepare for a full-day-long meeting given out of town tomorrow, but I thought that you might like to know that the bird shown here is the Green Winged Macaw, not the Scarlet. The two are often confused because it is the Green Wing that has the red facial feathers. The Scarlet has no facial feathers at all, is smaller like the popular Blue and Gold Macaw, and is predominately scarlet with bright blue feathers on the wings topped with bright yellow feathers above the blue. The Scarlet Macaw does not have any green feathers. The Green Wing is the 2nd largest of all Macaws. The largest is the Hyacinth Macaw which is a beautiful Cobalt Blue all over with a broad, bright yellow line across the lower beak on a fold of skin next to the face and thin, bright yellow circles around the eyes. The Green Wing shown here is a beautiful bird and I am anxious to see this video when my out-of-town meeting is over. Many beautiful and very expensive parrots are overflowing bird rescues and have to be put down. If you would like to have one of these wonderful, intelligent birds as a pet in your home, please don't shop Pet Stores and Breeders. Adopt at a parrot shelter where they can tell you what to feed them, how to properly care for them and where you can find an Avian (for birds) vet. They need a vet like any other pet. Shut down over breeding, and also take the profit out of illegal pet trading where the birds are shipped hidden in horrible, cruel conditions, by adopting from a legitimate parrot shelter. Please!. Adopt! Don't shop!
