Galina Reznikov is an intelligent, strong and amazing woman whose end was brought about by the way she lived: her strength was always ahead of her time. Thinking of her rotting away with dementia in Florida is like as if she’d stated in Communist Russia: a prison within a prison. 😔

it’s either this or this if I had to guess: 1. So a penguin and a farmer walk into a bar. They sit next to a drunk guy and an unconscious bargoer. A drunk man asks the penguin what hes drinking. The penguin doesnt answer, he's a penguin he can't talk of course. The farmer watches finding the humor in the situation. Again the drunk man asks him, " Whatchu drinkin?" The penguin still doesn't reply. Confused the drunkin man asks, "What are you sir? A man? An alien? Ahh I know what you are.. You're round and purple...You're an eggplant huh? So whatchu drinking eggplant? With still no reply the drunkin man furiously screams, "WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING YOU FUCKING EGGPLANT?" The whole room stops and looks at the wild man and the penguin, when the unconscious drunk finally wakes up and says "Dude, he's not an eggplant. He's retarded!" 2. Kate Mulgrew Is just sublimely talented! she is incredible in everything she does! She's acting in a language she'd never spoken before! I mean come on! Incredible!
We should stop talking so much about the character’s ending, talk more about her best moments and the life that she led it doesn’t take away the person she was
Another reason to be sad for reds ending is that she has always stayed what she is, yet they did her soooo bad so dirty so we can see her end so hopelessly
Makes sense why she took the fall, not only were they in debt to the mob but the guilt she must have felt knowing what she did/said resulted in that boys death and her son in his place

I never liked this show, and I don't like this character, but Kate is FKN brilliant in everything she does, and I love how she gave this character life and personality and emotions. This is what happens when you set a woman like this free to fill in the gaps and do her thing. She kills it and makes it great. 4:26 12:12
Kate Mulgrew is one of the best ever. I started watch Orange in July 2023, I knew about the show but never thought to watch it and I am now on a Kate Mulgrew trip, lol. I actually started to watch Voyager as well and I am really not a fan of Star Trek but am actually liking it. I read both her books and OMG she's a really great writer, is there anything this woman can't do? When am done with Voyager I will probably start to obsessed about someone else, lol.
Am I the only one who thinks that Red is very sharp and is acting as though she has dementia so as to get compassionate release like what happened to Jimmy?
I believe it was just some random bodies killed by the men she worked with but she didn't kill them, the only reason she went to prison was because it was her freezer he bodies were found in

@@bigsour2427 the Russian mob killed Ilya, red didn't go after them. It is already established in the beginning of the series that the Russian mob itself sprung for her lawyer that got her life in minimum security prison
She didn't kill anyone. They were in debt to the mob because she popped that chicks tit (she was one of the wives of the men in mob) her husband says "They want 60k" which they clearly didn't have so instead of payment they started working for them and letting them put their victims bodies in the freezer. She probably took the fall out of guilt. She tried to save that young man by suggesting maybe he wasn't cut out for hits. Her good intentions not only got him killed but they replaced the young man she tried to help with her own son. She stood up to them when they dismissed her initially so they sent her a message to remind her of her place.

She was dealing with the Russian Mob. And 5 dead bodies was found in her freezer. So yeah...it is actually a miracle that she was in The Minimum Security for that long.
