It was originally was supposed to be China but they wanted the film to be open to the Chinese box office so they changed it to North Korea, both make no sense but the North Korea one makes even less sense so overall bad choice
@@keeganhurley119 I disagree. Not a fan of any of those movies. But as a die hard fan of the original, this was crap. Bad actors, bad story and so on. But, that is simply my own opinion.
in the game North Korea is supposed to be the most technologically advanced country in the world. Silicon Valley doesn't exist but the Silicon River does in North Korea, they also the top supplier of weapons of the world and America is their biggest customer.
@@anxorico6946 the revolution franchise is the only one that make sense at least in videogame standards, no way in hell North Korea can conquer the world even in videogames.
@@ERRATAS0707 or the original red dawn atleast the soviet cuban invasion has a little sence that the only ( withouth support or any army) north corea invasion
@@anxorico6946 The original one makes way more sense. The idea was the US being "asleep" in the late Cold War, when they didn't expect a conflict at all, and the red army being preparing the attack for years so out of nowhere the US defense system was beated and the URSS troops deployed. Without any context the NK invasion in this movie makes no absolutely sense since they have more troops BUT the technology is on another era.
I was with the movie until the checkpoint scene like in the original red Dawn they made mistakes until they got better at it. No big brother to teach them the ropes.
I don’t see why this movie is hated so much, I’ve watched both, and while the original is a little bit better, I still think the remake really handles the concept pretty good too.
it was supposed to be the chinese invading america, but the producers realized at the last minute that wouldnt sell well in china, so they changed it to keep the money flowing
Whats really stupid is how brutal and evil they claim they are yet somehow the civilians get a chance to fight back instead of being eliminated on sight no mass purges either ok
Made in 2012 before the concept of “woke” even become mainstream it’s a bad movie but you can’t slather it with a name it doesn’t even deserved. And it’s literally all white people.
