She was REAL pissed when I got my Ozula garment set after finding the legendary Ozula Elk in the desert region, taking the skin to Gus and buying the set and then I showed up at her camp wearing it...made me chuckle though!
Honestly this game is way more consumer friendly than GTAV it’s way easier to grind and the payouts are way better and the game awards you for playing everyday.
You need it for fast travel with outlaw pass. I hate the naturalist role but I got the hang of it. Tomorrow when I get to rank 20 I’ll never touch it again. The bull moose is extinct but she wants me to bring it back to like for that stupid set 🤬

It seems like reviving animals can also boost how much she currently likes you after killing animals. From my experience I've been able to get away with killing a LOT more, if I revive a few after killing a few.
I've never revived any animals, I kill a lot of animals for the trader role and then sedate and sample a load to balance it out for the naturalist role - I don't know that reviving makes any difference really and it seems to be a big waste of money to buy them / the reviver pamphlet which is expensive and requires horse revivers too...the xp you get from reviving them just isn't worth that investment per animal reviver.
@Never Look back hunt for deer, buck, and cougars. If you have naturalist role or lucky enough to find a legendary animal then kill it and give the carcass to cripps. Never turn in normal animal pelts because they give you very little material so instead only donate animal carcasses. Always invest in bigger delivery wagons. The delivery distance doesn't matter but I prefer long distance with posse members.
Yes but when you start to doing missions you got to fight poachers and some of the other missions it's not as boring as though other one but just a little warning you do need to get to level 5 first which
Getting 100% in either a category or the whole compendium should definitely be rewarded. I'll happily grind it out because I enjoy it but a reward would be nice. A coat or other item that shows off that you have put time and effort into the game.
I think they are waiting to add a "horse role" bucking in a horse for a npc, bull riding infront of a crowd for money, finding rare breads, retrieving lost horses, selling of horses and some rancher stuff on the side...at least i hope so. Maybe thats why...
This is very on a personal level but I wish you could wear more than 1 ring in each hand so that my character can look more badass than he already looks

The longest part of the whole thing is getting to level 5 and passed that just grinding the legendary missions got me 20 within a day and plus each legendary sample gets you between 45 to 65 dollars so just grinding them is pretty good for money after one day grinding the legendary missions I went from like 2700 to just under 6000 dollars and I didn’t even do them that quick, so once you remember the different missions it’s really easy to make money To be honest the lower category stamp collection aren’t really worth it I done the forest one over a day and got like 200 dollars if I remember correctly whereas I done a few legendary missions and made more money in an hour
UltimateEthan kind of the animals rotate on like a 45 min refresh for missions at the start there is two and I think there is an upgrade for a third tbh not sure I levelled up so quick. If you get good missions you can do all three and hit the cool down but if you get the longer ones that could take 10-15 minutes you should really experience the cool down in that scenario
@@thebossgames4314 They're called Legendary Animal sightings and yes, you should prioritise those once you have them unlocked. Killing and skinning the animals will yield more money from selling the pelts and furs to Gus but sedating and sampling them will be the way to go to get role XP if you aren't level 20 yet in the Naturalist role.
Use blending tonic, lasts 30mins of real time and you can get much closer to animals without spooking them. Also with Gus, any legendary animal you find and skin, sell to him and straight away go to buy garment set and that legendary animal you sold you can buy a garment set for it
You know Professional, I like how dedicated you are to helping people make money, rank up, or whatever. But damn, doesn't it get bothersome and become more like a chore than just playing the game and letting things naturally progress? I get that it's your job, and how you make your living, but I would be miserable if I played the way you do. Many props to your endless grinding and perseverance!
The problem is that these things only really pay off if you can put some grind into them. The easiest way to earn gold in RDR online is to play daily. Do the daily challenges and keep your gold multiplier high.
I would love to play this update as much as i can, unfortunately i lag out of a session without even being in it for 30 seconds. Struggling getting the timber wolf and northern water snake currently.
Legendary pelts give good material value for your trader camp. Bison(58), Cougar(58), Beaver(55), Elk(43). I forgot the values for the wolf, fox and boar, they're less for sure. So if you have taken samples for them and crafted all the garment sets, legendary missions are a good way to earn material for Cripps. Big pelts like bison and elk, you can store 5 total in your hunting wagon. For smaller ones like cougar and beaver, you can keep 50 in the hunting wagon. Imagine 50 legendary cougar pelts saved up, you don't need to hunt for Cripps for a while.
Note: If you get disconnected while Harriett is upset when you get back in the session you go through the cutscene all over again & from what I can tell the timer where she refuses to speak to you resets, that's just "fantastic" :P
Professional, 25 mins is a perfectly reasonable amount of time for a video. You always fill out that time with valid content and these long explanations are really valuable for someone who wants to get into the details (which is the best way to make the right choices)
When I reach level 20, I will be done with sedating and sampling animals. I'm close to level 5, and it annoys me to be more or less forced to grind this role to level 20. Which idiot at R* made the foto idea?? Now we have to spend ours in Social Club, deleting a ton of stupid pictures. Because you can only have certain number of pictures in there. Very smart!!

@@kennethhjerlarsen1154 I'm the same lol, it's quite hard to get the pictures sometimes. It is much easier with the Advanced Camera because you can move around while using it, however it costs around $500 I think.

I’m not sure if you have this as a glitch but every time I try to do a resupply mission for Crips. It’s just it makes me do it over and over again, and it’s kind of forced me to buy supplies.
You can kill medium size animals, (Deer, pronghorn, etc...) by lassoing them and killing them with your knife. (Approach the lassoed animal and you'll get the kill prompt when you're close enough. This will not lower the quality of the animal) and Harriet won't get angry. I don't know if it's a feature, or a glitch.
Another tip. If spamming sedatives on an animal, take note of the crosshair, if it flashes red, the animal will pass out soon. Don't waste anymore ammo. Alternatively, use eagle eye and see the trail of your targeted animal. If it's red, it's passing out soon.
Dude my intentions for this dlc are to just reach rank 20 which I did today. From now on I’m using the legendary animal missions for the skins to get the trinkets. Other than that I’m using this updates fixed animal spawns to make money from the trader and alternate between trader and moonshiner until the collections map is updated. Oh I also want to add that for the trinkets you get from the trapper you do NOT need legendary animal components. If the requirements are greyed out it’s because you have to sell them first and yes they do carry over if you leave the session.
I don't know how anyone has been able to play this the last couple days. I can't stay in a lobby longer than a minute or so before getting auto-booted because Rockstar doesn't have their shit together on their side of the servers.
Fr I’ve been trying every single day since the update and just barely today was the first day I could actually play... for just an hour before I got disconnected again
I’ve tested it myself, selling the legendary pelt to Gus gives a good amount more money that Harriet. Of course you miss out on the collection and xp but I usually sell the pelt to Gus
Take a legendary sample for Hariot to get the stamp but also kill that sedated legendary and then take the carcass to Gus for the sale, hey presto 2 for the price of one! 👍
Lord Of Necromancy yup... the payouts aren’t even good anymore. Might as well do bounty hunting to get the same amount of money but also get gold for putting the same amount of time and effort in
For me the Naturalist role isn't worth It for one reason: Gus' Store is free for everyone I thought you had to have the naturalist role to be able to use It :v
in my experience, after you get sprayed you only have to wait 4 1/2 min until you can interact with her again, so i dont really mind. i just do something on my phone while i wait

your video's remind me of what gaming guides should be like, getting to the point and covering everything in one video, some other youtubers make those guides too, but they make like 5 seperate video's. All of them are 10 minutes and cover a very small subject, just to make more money. You actually care about the viewers' convenience. Thanks for all the great video's, you helped me out a lot.
I think this role is good. It gives me something to do in between hunting for materials for cripps, doing moonshine and trader deliveries, collecting, etc. I'm taking it slow and it feels good when I unlock a garment from Gus.
After lvl 5 I just did the Harriet missions they so easy(now 5min per mission) in 2 days I maxed out rank 20 and also made a lot of money doing it. I can recommend the missions
Hey Professional: I have a vid request, With this dlc the naturalist role is pretty expensive cause u have to buy alot of stuff (cosmetic and even the role exclusive stuff) so I wanted to ask can u make a new money guide cause I think its about time and collector got nerfed so its pretty hard to make cash.
It's not hard at all to make money, my guy. Depending on which roles you have unlocked, Moonshiner, Trader and even the Naturalist are great for making money especially if you do them all at once. Just this week alone, I've made nearly $10000 from doing all three and that's from playing on and off and not even being efficient with my time.
Rockstar: we have made a HUGE update. Our update is so huge that it will truely change your gaming experience. You will be playing for hours because of newer and better error 20010006. The old error of 20010006 only disconnects you for like 2-3 times per hour but with the newer update of 200100069 we are looking at an increase of 5times the result
I have the same problem. Unfortunately today I'm getting the Error 20010006 in less than 5 minutes. The weird thing is that I lose everything. I don't understand. I've been playing ESO for years and I never lost any item with any kind of error. Since RD is online, and there's no manual save game, I don't understand why I lose all items collected with the Error 20010006. It's impossible to level up.
Is that what they really said? Since the new update I have been experiencing soooooooo many problems and been disconnected every 10 minutes. It's literally impossible to even play this game soooooooo over it

Reviver brings up your honor by so much, every two animals you revive will bring it up, it took me 20 maybe a little more to get from the very bottom to the very top
How is my friend able to hold 10 regular samples and 3 legendary samples, while I can only hold 5 regular and 1 legendary at a time? I tried to look in the outlaw pass rewards and the naturalist rank up rewards. But i couldn't seem to find anything that let's you hold more samples.
Anyone having trouble connecting just join off a friend or a random through looking for group. Me and a friend couldn't get on at night for 2 days. Then I saw some old friend and joined his free roam worked for hours. Hope this helped cause it saved me. We did get disconnected once or twice over like 8 hours of gameplay just join another randoms lobby.
I don't know if he said it or not, but most of the animals in the category he was showing off spawn in groups, meaning you can bag and tag like 3-4 at a time. With that being said, selling 3 or 4 $140 categories wouldn't be bad for something that will take a little over an hour, if even that, if you're actively hunting for the animals.
@@hopearchangel4624 personally I am never able to sedate more than 4 animals at a time (and even that is only possible when 3 of them are small) because the amount of shots needed for them is ridiculous. AND I am being ambushed by like 10 wolves every 5 minutes, being thrown off my horse in the process. Then I kill them in self defense and oh look at that harriot is mad at me again.
@@pain002 Lol. Yeah. It's annoying that killing animals in self defence is still wrong to her but I don't worry about what she thinks anymore. She gets mad at me after like 3 animal sighting missions because I just kill the legendary animals.

She NEVER tells you to KILL animals, and neither does anything that comes with the role. You do realize sedating and killing are two polar opposites, right?
I'd say the Desert collection is the easiest to complete as the animals all spawn in the desert area of the New Austin region aside from the Sierra Nevada Big Horn Sheep/Rams which you can easily find in Northern Tall Trees close to the aurora basin. The only "difficulty" is getting the cougars regularly but you can use potent predator bait at the cougar spawn in Great Plains (for example) and wait out the spawn while hunting the other animals in the area. There is only one snake which you can always find easily (especially as your horse will start to freak out and it's either a cougar or a snake that will cause this in the desert!), two lizards which are common spawns across the region, 9 banded armadillos and then the rest are mainly large animals which all spawn frequently and in large numbers throughout the day or night. The only downside of the desert is that with some of the rocky regions if you are shooting the animal using deadeye to paint 6-7 markers on it and it goes behind cover when you've taken a few shots they will run and run but it's easy to find all of the animals required in fairly flat ground so you can just pop them with sedative rounds and get the samples really fast.
It would have been nice if Rockstar made an option where you could choose to fighting against poachers or become a poacher yourself, that could make good use of the honor system and give Gus more involvement in role. That would have been fun.
I honestly think that the knife kills thing with Harriet getting mad at you might be intentional. Because if you use the mercy kill ability for a wounded animal it’s with a knife. So maybe this is considered a “mercy kill” at least by Harriet’s standards?
It’s easier to study fleeing animals if you holster your weapon and focus on them instead, this is especially useful for legendary animals or free aim players.
Solid tip. You can also use your scoped rifle to study btw. The free aim players are really at a disadvantage with the amount of sedatives it takes out a bigger animal.
Dizzee B also in general I have to deal with the wibbly wobbly aim effect when shot at which doesn’t make free aim combat any easier, but I can cope with it anyway.

Yeah when it came out and I didnt have the necessary gold and I just saw everybody else playing it I tought it was boring, but when I finnally got the role I am really having fun
It was really more helpful than other guide videos on youtube . Out of all the videos I watched None of those fools told me to not sell duplicates and how selling sets work cause they want to talk about 1 thing 20 minutes so they can make many videos about such simple things
