The trip to Horseshoe Overlook was indeed one of the most beautiful, most memorable and most of all, most peaceful parts of the game. Loved every second of it.

I know what you mean man. When this game game out, my gf got it for my birthday that year. We got a home, got engaged, had a baby. Our son is 4 years old now. Her and I have been separated for 2 years, no longer talk, and I now have a daughter with a girl I went to high school with. I’ve been in and out of jail a couple times. It’s crazy how fast the time goes in hindsight. 5 years have passed and my life is somewhere I never imagined it would be. This game came at a turning point in my life and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Great story, and it’s amazing when a game gets you like that isn’t it! One thing I will have to disagree on though is the storytelling. This game is absolutely brilliant but far far off being a great storytelling game. Arthur is written beautifully, but most of the other characters aren’t and when you lose certain characters in the game it’s like meh, no connection. Witcher 3 for example is way way above this in terms of storytelling. But I do really like this game

That interesting because I was the exact opposite, I was super excited to play as an outlaw compared to John in the first game usually being on the right side of things. I'm a little disappointed with how little you can rob and steal but the finished product is still a masterpiece imo

@John Marston Go and replay rdr2. See all the John's dialogues when he returned to the gang. How he talk with the other characters , flirting with other girls despite he has a son and a large etc. He changed almost at the same time as Arthur.

If you want to extend the game just for the sake of playing and being immersed in it look for smoke in the distance and go to it. Kill and loot. I'm sure you already know this though. I spend more hours messing around in this game just so I could keep playing. Stealing carriages and taking them to that guy to get money for them. Fishing all the legendary fish. I absolutely loved playing this game

You can see the character models are gonna be to this level if not a bit more, but the cities, the weather, the floral is gonna be what you saw in this game, which was stellar. Rockstar used Red Dead’s beauty and charm to make their darling in GTA VI.

About the colors and weather, they are exactly the same, except the pink-ish colors from the start of the GTA VI trailer. In the first trailer of GTA V, back then (2011) people told that it had the same colors and graphics from RDR1. But then GTA V came out, it had completely new unique colors, and even in PS4/Xone versions, they added more fog. I think they will do the same with GTA VI. Right now, same timecycle, colors, weather from RDR2, but in 2025 they will try to make it more unique, we will miss those color tones, they will be simply beta. You can even see at 0:47 the bouncing lightning is used in Lucia's prision scene too. And the orange tone from 0:50 appears a lot in the GTA VI trailer. But I think the flamingo scene from GTA VI is for sure the true proof that it uses the same timecycle from RDR2. If someone told me that this scene is from RDR2, for sure I would believe.

​@@enriquecomas933 About the character models, they won't change any pedestrians probably from now on. Just (maybe) the protagonists. In GTA V trailer 1, all of the NPCs still exist, and they maintained the same models in final release. So, for NPCs, they probably won't change anymore. This is what we will see in final release.

And they can remove some vegetation too in final version. In the leaks, sometimes the FPS (even without all of the vegetation or peds) stuttered (they were running on a RTX card), and sometimes the debug alerted about low video memory.

Playing this right now actually. Its honestly the best video game I think I have ever seen. The graphics are insane, even for 2022 and the story line is amazing. Just made it to the first epilogue.

After beating the game 3 times I think RDR2 is one of the best games of all time. But in my mind, The Witcher 3 remains at the top as the GOAT.
