Further proof that Steam Deck isn't "under powered", triple A titles are just coming out poorly optimized. This is incredible looking and I can't wait to install RDR2 on my Deck after work today

Its running well for me just one issue is for some reason there is no audio in the cutscenes but audio is active everywhere else.

Do you try modded adirvers for steam deck? Amerinimezone? also u can tweak config of option which have impact on performance but not on graphics :) and get even more fps

Actually not :/ since I make the videos for everyone :/ and I think the fps are more than good now actually :)

Works great for me! Only problem is that I’ll get stutters with accompanying audio stutters, wonder if there’s any way to resolve such an issue?

Did you have to put the CD keys in on prompt freddy. Have this game & of course Max Payne 3. Says to me about putting in some key 🔑 So wondering if they've patched that out with proton experimental 🤔

I didn't have to enter anything, I bought it on Steam and it was automatic

This is probably because you have Steam OS 3.5 or Steam OS 3.6/3.7? I had no problems with crashes

I have the same problem, sometimes after 30 minutes, sometimes after few hours, game slows to a crawl, freezes and i have to reset sd. Found no solution so far

Hey everybody, as a steam deck oled owner for only 2 weeks now I am just confused of where to get the best Settings to get the most out of games. I installed cryoUtilities since a lot of videos exist recommending it since it was e.g. solving the stutter problem of horizon zero dawn. As for rdr2 I wonder now whether I should use steam deck os 3.6 and proton expiremental with cryoUtility or without it or whether i just should leave steam os 3.5 and use cryoUtility with it without increasing vram buffer size due to know big of rdr2 not benefiting from the vram buffer size increase. Could anybody perhaps let me know how u run rdr2 and what you think is the best to run?

With the OLED it's pleasant to hardly hear anything with the LCD it's a little more audible

I have the game on Steam, I just installed it, logged in to Rockstar and then I was able to play

Steam deck is going to the dogs. More and more games stop working and there were no problems before. RDR2 doesn't run at all for me today.

Yes, some people have that problem :/ I only have to log in once after reinstalling the game :/ Have you ever started it with Proton Experimental? For me, the registration is usually saved for the next time
