It's even more sad that Jack probably went for Edgar Ross steaighr after his mother died. I think all the stranger missions are meant to be played by John instead of Jack so he basically really did mot met many people and was full of hate.

He can meet new characters and make friends and enemies as he tries to avoid being captured and killed by bounty hunters, and government agents for killing Ross... finally after a long chase on the northern mountains, or on the Mexican borders... he fakes his own death after a full blown shootout, and pass to the other side of the mountains to Canada to meet Charles, or to south America to meet Sadie....where he starts a new life...

I'm ngl. This is part of the reason why I like to imagine Charles and Sadie watch over Jack. Think about it, there's no way of someone famous as John wouldn't get out there and no way either of them wouldn't hear about it. They finally realize what revenge leads to and try to enforce that into Jack but he goes off to kill Ross anyway without them knowing and so, after tearing him a new one, they help him start a new life in Canada or South America. It gives off the vibe of being less alone and at least have a hopeful ending in all of the tragedy.

@@chadtrickthereal You're bold to assume that the government cares about Ross's death. They used Ross. He was a puppet just like John was to Ross. He could be replaced easily. He's retired. They might do a little investigation. They won't go further than that for all those resources. Jack will be alright. No one is talking about fairy tales and all happy endings (if that was the case John and Abigail would still be alive so would Arthur) but ain't nothing wrong with a little happiness in the middle of tragedy.

Here’s how I play the RDR games: Arthur Morgan: High honor because of his last ride and having him die an honorable death. John Marston: High honor because I imagine after seeing everything that Arthur did for him and his family he’d be trying to live the example he saw from his older brother. Jack: Low honor because he’s lost everything and because of that, he’s driven by anger and sullen rage.

honestly, if rdr3 was to happen, it has to be about jack. his redemption after acting upon revenge like his father did. perhaps something involving him helping another family or maybe he finds a lover of his own, but tragically could never be with the latter. or both, then he can his own version of arthur and john's stories.

What I like to imagine happen after that segment: For a long time at Beecher's Hope, Jack sat at the grave, with Rufus joining his side, his head on his lap. He'd heard footsteps and reached for his Cattleman Revolver, only to stop when a hand placed itself on his shoulder. "Jack, are you okay?" He looked at the forms of Charles Smith and Sadie Adler. He'd promised them as he promised his mother he wouldn't look back, but he had a feeling they knew what happened. "...I killed him." "And what did it accomplish?" The now wiser Sadie asked. "Did it bring John back? Like with us killing Micah, did it make everything go back to normal?" He shook his head. "That's the lesson we had to learn the hard way," Charles replied. "Revenge is a fool's game. Your father didn't go after Javier, Bill, and Dutch because of revenge. He did it because he'd wanted you and your mother to be safe." "I thought killing that one O'Driscoll who murdered my husband would bring me peace. It didn't." Sadie added solemnly. Staring at his parents and Uncle grave, Jack's lips bristled into a sad frown. He knew what he was about to do would be a painful step, but he felt too alone at Beecher's Hope. "I want to leave. I don't want to be here no more." The two shared a look at one another. Charles nodded. "Get all of your things. I'll get you a room up in Canada." Doing so, he grabbed most of the things that were important to him, feeling a bit like a coward for leaving it all behind. But, he felt like he could never accomplish true closure here. Maybe one day he would come back to see how the ranch was. Maybe other people would continue it. But now, Jack Marston needed to find himself. A loner in the West, Jack hoped for at least a hopeful future. The son of John and Abigail Roberts Marston walked out of his empty home. He loaded his equipment in the horse and grabbed Rufus as he pulled on his reins-right alongside his pa's old friends. It was time to move on.

In the camp. More specifically, Arthur's space. He has a mugshot of his father on display. Lyle Morgan was arrested in 1874 for larceny. He lived as an outlaw and was believed to have been lynched some time after being incarcerated. I'm kinda thinking this may be Rockstar hinting the next prequel. They've given a small amount of incomplete information regarding his father, mother, and siblings. It just seems like they set the mood for their next protagonist.

As much as I like Jack and I wouldn't mind seeing a game story built around him. The wild west set the RDR games are built around would be better represented in a time going farther back. I think it would be best if they continued the trend and have the next game take place before the events of RDR2.

In my opinion I think rdr 3 won't be about Jack because the story would be too sad seeing him wander by himself without John or Arthur I think it should be Mac or dutch or Hosea as the protagonist and it should show how they formed the gang and how they met Arthur and John and then we play as Arthur or young John like do a thing where we can switch between dutch and Arthur and John and then the final mission is the blackwater masscurare I don't think they should go further in time it won't suite the story good

No side activities If you are follow these steps you have a lot of play time with Jack Marston and it really feels like a 3rd game or atleast a proper Epilogue.
