Agreed. It might be a nice graphical upgrade but that doesn’t always mean it serves the artstyle. This is more along RDR2’s style. RDR1 is all about dull colors and dirtiness, giving that vintage, old spaghetti western feel. It’s not supposed to be vibrant

One of the things that I like about RDR1 is that, unlike RDR2, it's less colorful, and this mods takes that away.

@@callahan___4 Yeah RDR1 has a bleak and lonely atmosphere, because it's after the west has basically faded. It's supposed to feel bleaker in palette than RDR2.

@@callahan___4 I think it's still colorful, but it has a bleak atmosphere at the same time. That might be one of the most unique things about it. Usually a game will sacrifice one for the other but RDR1 manages to have both for the most part

The games moody lighting and unrealistic but minor shadows how highlight definition in the normal mapping. By making the lighting natural and realistic, its basically removed the illusion of detail and made the whole game look like shit. You cannot just replace a games lighting for a natural style. Stylized lighting, literally 100% of the time, will make a game look better than natural lighting.

I think the lack of clouds in the desert sky is more realistic. Also the blue is that vibrant in the desert.

Yeah, sadly rockstar had to butcher john to make arthur shines brighter in rdr2. Rdr2 john could have been more accurate to what we're told in rdr1, to how john is during rdr1 and was meant to be in his gang years

What guy above said. And PS5 can also go 60 fps. The only versions of RDR1 that can go past 30 fps

You could also use the switch version as its more lightweight and easier to emulate (even my old gtx 750 ti was getting 40fps)
