By the way, Jon, I have a few tips about Undead Nightmare if you'd like to use them: First: Save towns, if not for a place to sleep, then do it for the new weapons, because saving towns nets your new weapons when you complete them. Second: Conserve ammo if you can. That one's obvious, but still, do it! But, don't go against saving up ribs and teeth from dogs and other wild animals! You'll get a weapon later that'll put it to good use. Third: Side missions in UN are quite hilarious and i advise doing them, especially the one up in Tall Trees, i think it'll strike your fancy quite well. Fourth: Keep an eye out for mythical beings. Four Horses of the Apocalypse roam around the map and each of them have special abilities, like setting enemies on fire, having better stamina and strength, and one even allows you to blow up zombies heads by running into them. Hell, complete some of the challenges to maximum and you'll even get a unicorn, i'm not joking! Otherwise, have fun! And take your time with it! Undead Nightmare is a fun experience and definitely worth RDR fan's time! Plus, the ending's pretty cool if i do say so myself! I look forward to more from you, either in this series or any other! I know it's very unlikely, but I'm still holding out hope that we get Undead Nightmare 2 as DLC for RDR2.

Yeah Rockstar broke this DLC back in 2014 with patch 1.08 and never bothered to fix it. It’s that bad that a lot of people can’t even get past the first bit were you kill Zombie Uncle. I don’t really think it’s right that they are still selling this on digital storefronts knowing how unplayable it can be

I just love how 80s slasher the intro cutscene is cos it seems so out of place with the main game .

You might already know by now, but Undead Nightmare has a nasty gamebreaking bug where the NPCs pretty much lose their heads and arms including the zombies and they become unkillable. As you have seen, the bug takes effect after extended playtime, typically between 30min to an hour after starting. The only way to prevent it is to never have the patch installed, meaning you will need to disable the network connection from your system. That is what I did on PS3. It is the only fix you can do. So you will need to uninstall the game and reinstall it and not have the patch. If that is impossible on Xbox One, then you will need to revert to your 360, install the standalone expansion, and turn off network connection so the game doesn't hound you to install patch. I hope I was useful.

Jon. Remember that zombies can't climb, but John Marston can, and most buildings have ledges that are pretty low down if you want to climb up.

There's never been a better time to LP Undead Nightmare. It honestly surprises me that you're the only one I see doing it at the moment.

Jon, you can climb on to one of the many building overhangs in town and kill zombies from above, if you want to avoid running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

Jon you can get the four horses of the apocalypse including war that is a horse that's on fire.

I never had the headless bug. I imagine it would've been funny the first, maybe second, time but from what I've read, it happens a lot to anyone who does get it. That's going to be fun to watch. I also love how much you love Bonnie, Jon. I wanted them together too.

This DLC is better than many full games out there.

Oh my god, do the mythical beasts sub-quest. If you manage to get through the four horses and the chupacabra, there's a special final creature that I just know you're going to go nuts over.

I honestly do not think, with the kind of man John is, that he would remarry if Abigail was dead, I just feel he's the type of person who, even in death is just too "faithful" to actually ever be with another woman.

I felt a disturbance in the Force, as if thousands of viewers all shrieked, "FIRE BOTTLES YOU FECKLESS GIT!" and then fell silent.

When you are saving a town, you can talk to their leader, the blue dot on the mini map. When you talk to them, it unlocks the other survivors in the town, as blue dots that you can go to. You can give 5 ammo to them and it will fill one bar of progress of saving the town automatically. Makes it easier for later towns that have 8 or more waves. You also unlock weapons when clearing towns because there are no shop in the apocalypse. You got the fire bottles because you cleared out Thieves' Landing.

Abby and jack are amazing, don't you dare speak ill of them.

Jon why do you ship John and Bonnie so much? I mean John doesn't seem at all interested in Bonnie other than just being friends. Sure Bonnie seems interested at points but it still needs to be mutual. I mean John and Abigail have been together at least 16 years and are clearly still interested judging by all the playful teasing.

6:08 I agree. John would at least have a pistol on the night stand and that shotgun would have been in the bedroom if not under the bed. It's completely unbelievable of you've played the main game. How ironic, this is where I draw the line in a story about pulpy zombie Western highjinks. I can see Rockstar was trying to get the story rolling and needed Abagail to be bitten but it was a tad sloppy even if it's intended sloppiness.

It is *CRIMINAL* that Rob Weithoff, the voice actor for John Marston, isn't in more games. He makes such a lovable, gruff character out of him. John is one of the most charming and interesting characters in gaming and Rob hasn't been in anything since 2013 aside from RDR2. He's literally only been in one non-Red Dead game and literally just four movies. That's just sad. It's such a shame how voice actors barely get a mention. If you're not Troy Baker, Nolan North, Laura Bailey or someone who was already a celebrity you're basically a nobody even if you voice some of the most memorable and great characters ever.

During the intro part where the family bickered, I kept staring at that open front door and yelling at the screen, "CLOSE THE BLOODY DOOR ALREADY! It's raining outside! Who doesn't close the door when it's raining and dark outside and he has 'a funny feeling' that something is wrong?" What dev programmed the game so that the main character doesn't close the front door after he came into the house??

Jon, you need to do the quest Birth of the Conservation Movement in Tall Trees. It is just brilliant and you need to experience it yourself. Also a bit of advice, use dead eye more because ammo gets really, really scarce in the later part of the game.

Honestly one of the best DLC's ever. Still remember it all so well. How they never saw that hand I will never know.

Remember to use the lasso when it's just one zombie to save ammo.

Jon...the guy you saved at the farm did give you something, he gave you ammo.

If you run at them and shoot right before you come in contact you get an automatic 1 hit headshot kill with an animation that gives you eyeframes, great when you start to get overwhelmed and are out of dead eye. edit: You did it at 46:42. If you learn the timing right you can do it consistently.

Btw, the damage of guns means nothing in Undead Nightmare. Zombies die when they take any sort of damage to the head no matter how small. Explosions insta kill any zombies in the blast radius.

Also how about "Undead Nightmare: Pacifist Run" where you only use the lasso (except for Uncle, and cutscene shootings)

Take single shots in dead eye. It's far more efficient to press R3 then line up a single shot and pull RT. Circle the crowd and pick em off one at a time.

Unfortunately, this game has a terrible game breaking bug where after a while zombies spawn as headless NPCs. For me, it got to where it would happen almost every 10 minutes and I just couldn't play it anymore. It's a buggy mess of a game, but also one of the best zombie games in my opinion.
