Red Devon stud cows shortly before calving 

Join me for a walk on the farm to find the cows who are due to calve very soon.
This is a mixed age female herd (plus one steer) doing so very well on steep terrain with coarse pasture.
We have been breeding Red Devon cattle and selecting the very best animals for so long that our cows are perfectly suited to this country. If they do this well on the hill, imagine how rapidly they will grow and finish to produce the best beef on flatter land!
