Red Dwarf: The Movie - Extended Opening Titles - HD 

I've said it many times, they could make the Red Dwarf Movie in CGI with the original actors doing the voices. The storyline for the first film would be Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers, the second movie Better than Life and the third would be Last Human, making it a trilogy. The quality of modern CGI graphics is so good these days, I can easily see Lister driving a busted hopper around the Mimas docks.

BTW, the new episodes will be out on DVD later this year, for those of us who don't have Dave.

When the heck is this on TV? what date! what year! There has not been enough advertising, this will be massive!! RED DWARF IS BACK!

There is no official movie yet however if you watch Back to Earth all in one it is pretty much a movie i think 😺 also series 12 is coming this Autumn in the UK and there is a picture of all the crew as mechanoids like kryten look it up!!

The question of the movie is still a question mark, its up in the air at this point, I guess it really boils down to if the 4 1 hour specials do good (which I think that's what they are hoping for)

This particular type of widescreen format is called 2:35:1 - sometimes referred to as 'anamorphic' or 'letterbox' (although 'anamorphic' usually means the type of lens used when photographing the image). There are many other types of widescreen display. I just happen to prefer this one.

To get the full effect shouldn't you have Norman Lovett as Holly reading the prologue, a la Red Dwarf I & II? Nah, only joking, fab job - it looks almost real

@gleneggett There were plans for a movie after season 8 but it's been in development hell for years so I doubt there will be one. One the other hand there was a 3 part special in 2009 called Back to Earth which was great.

No because it still seems like you're being arrogant towards me by calling me mental just because I'm stating matter of factly what star trek is about. I never compared red dwarf to star trek. So what's your point about the aliens? Being human doesn't just include biology it also includes all the feelings of being human which the aliens in star trek are just as capable of feeling as much as the humans are.

Yes I have seen star trek maybe you haven't or you just didn't pay enough attention to it and no I don't think it's real. Star trek is very much about the characters and the things that make us human.

holly was replaced long before the series ended by a woman, and I thought Kochanski was a cameo character anyway.
