I really love how you're so gentle with your models, I've noticed some makeup artists are just very commanding and treat the models like canvases and I really appreciate that you still recognize that they're human and they have feelings
@durga1984 Hanako is half Japanese, quarter English & quarter Irish. Gorgeous isnt she? You are quite right its pretty much impossible to do make-up on someone who is smiling, laughing, talking etc. Especially when you are drawing lines around the eyes. Hanako is a pro and knows that x
Such an amazing look! I think the eyes in this look would've gone really well with the classic Asian gradient lip. It would've given the same red color to the lips but still kept the focus of the look on the eyes.
Hi Lisa Ive noticed that Hanako has epicanthic folds and there are few makeup videos for this type of eyes. So I was glad I came across this, but I wish you could use Hanako more often to give more makeup looks. Thanx!
Love, love, love the red eyeshadows, well, I think it's called Marsala this year. I guess I'm too bold because I'll wear a bright eye at the drop of a hat anytime. Usually more dramatic at night, but makeup is fun! Love watching you, Lisa, thanks for all your efforts!
Hanako is just STUNNING!! Her skin is absolutely poreless and perfect. So great to see makeup done on asian features. I love red eyeshadows, thanks for an amazing video, Lisa! xx
Flawless application on an already stunning young woman = perfection. Makes me wish I was still in my 20's with skin like that. Lisa, everytime I see one of your videos in my box it makes my day!
I confess red eyeshadow was almost my go-to color when I was just studying, with no internships. It just cheers me up, and, somehow, makes me look prettier. Every time I've used it my boyfriend would compliment me and be even more interested in me. I liked to use it with a very subtle red lip&cheek stain. Love the video!
I love it when you use Hanako for you makeup videos, she is the only person I have ever seen in my entire life with the same eye shape so it's such a great help as I'm makeup challenged.
Your videos are officially my favorite ones on youtube. I like that you provide a lot of good tips that speak to everyone even if we're not make-up savvy.
It's beautiful. I was at a Shu Uemura counter while on vacation and was recommended pink and red eye shadows for a pop of color. I was hesitant to purchase it, but after learning how many different ways and looks I can do w/ these bright colors, I am determined to try pink/red eye shadows! Thanks for sharing!
lisa, you're incredible. every time i get bored of my ridiculously small stash of make-up you find a way to get me excited yet again! i just wish i could at least afford some basics but in the end i always find something more important to buy when i have some money left. or its just that i don't know what is worth investing in as a normal uni-student.. anyways. thanks once again!! you are inspirational :)
Gorgeous. Love the shape she used for the red and love both lip looks. That bright lipstick is pretty amazing. This model was beautiful as well. Great job!
It is a miracle that someone as accomplished as yourself is still kind, in-touch with reality, and accessible to your fans. How does that happen?? You're my #1 favorite on RU-vid, by far. Please don't ever change!! And let me know if you'd like to adopt a 28-year-old daughter! ;-) hahaha
Thank you so much for explain what red I can use. I am fair with lots of pinky undertones, when I work out I can't stop my face from turning red! Now I can use my favorite colour on my eyes. Love your work Lisa!
I am absolutely stunned by this...Lisa is such a brilliant makeup artist. She makes even the scariest eyeshadow colors into the most amazingly beautiful looks. Thank you!
The red shadow was clearly really difficult to work with. I was so impressed that you were able to make it work! I suspect there aren't many who could have wrangled it's patchy texture into such an amazing look. 😱 💖
@michischaaf I personally dont because I use them up pretty quickly in my kit. I can imagine for personal use that they would though. Take care to replace the lid as soon as you've finished using x
Love this look, the idea of red eyeshadow has always scared me but you've given me the confidence to try it! The model is beautiful, her lips are gorgeously shaped! x
her skin is so spectacularly clear that I started cleaning my laptop screen- I could see all the little spots on it:)))) love the make up- totally amazing!
Tried this look out last night and went out! I usually have trouble with the shape of eyeshadow. I'm half-Chinese so seeing a look done on Hanako is especially helpful. Thank you!
i honestly didn't believe red could look good any which way but your work is amazing. i could never wear it but it looks beautiful on hanako. red eyeshadow. who'dve thought. i learned something today. thanks.
Wauw - Hanako is drop dead georgeous! Didn't think red eyeshadow could be pretty, rather that it would look as if one had caught a cold ;-) But of course you can make it work. She looks beautiful with the makeup!
This is really georgous!! I would'nt have thought so at the beginning, but the result is very beautiful. I think it looks very japanese, not only because of the model, but the traditionnal japanese make-up is rather reddish. Thank you for having shared this with us.
This look actually reminds me of Chinese opera makeup. I was looking for an opera-inspired red eyeshadow look (because I love Chinese opera), but wearable - which I wasn't sure was even possible. Then I found your video and it was exactly what I had in mind!
I feel this is almost my own personal tutorial. I love red eye shadow and have been using it for quite a long time now. Thanks for showing us your take on it!!!
Wow, this is really gorgeous! At first I felt somewhat sceptical about red eyeshadow, but the end result is absolutely stunning! I might try this sometime, although I don't feel like someone who could pull this off .
