Keep in mind this game was released in 2009 about a decade ago and this game has better destruction physics then crackdown 3 a game released a decade after this.

Why in the hell is this destruction far more detailed than Crackdown 3?

I remember my brother entertaining me by putting this game on his computer and letting me go and just destroy every building in sight. Absolute core memory for me.

Why more games dont have this kind of destruction. Rescue mission never felt so epic! Bash the wall with a hammer and rescue the hostage.

Back when games could still impress me. Games haven't innovated like this for a long time, It's all just a fight of realism now.

Games like this are proof that it doesn’t matter what year it is but the people involved in developing. Some people are just pure genius. Devs nowadays have more computing power and accessibility to the best engines than ever before but they fall flat compared to the older games. You can’t really get surprised by any game anymore. My only hope at this point is Rockstar. That’s the only company that has been able to make me drop my jaw since I was a kid.

What a gem of a game. Randomly found it in a bin back in like 2010, never played any of them, but had so much fun. I never played anything like it. Best part was you could cause a massive pile up from all of the convoys that would circle about and just leave a wake of destruction in your path.

This game had destructible environments. I'm so glad we left this technology behind and moved on to pre order exclusives and microtransactions.

Those physics are so crisp and beautiful I can now wait for my switch to come in this is going to be my 1st

2009 and games still can't do this today. And on top of that, great lighting and textures on last gen consoles!! My only gripes with the game were a pretty boring story and you couldn't deform terrain.

I bought both of these as part of my collection this one and Armageddon..the first one is fun I love destruction simulators as a game..I wish the whole map of GTA 5 could be destroyed like this..Open world adventure fits this game play perfectly..and then I put Armageddon in and... 😩..I mean..🤔😒..just tell me why you changed a great concept into something sub standard..a more simple first person shooter than Doom..it's so straight forward...yea I can destroy like the first I guess..but it's specific and it's just not fun...at all..you should of kept this open world..there's no enjoyment..pfft..in the case..on the shelf..never to come out again..it's value is sitting on a shelf 😐
