I never got past that damn stealth mission in the first game😭. To my knowledge, Red Faction 2 was the first game that when using guns akimbo, would bind your left gun to the left trigger on your controller and the right gun to your right trigger. They did this BEFORE Halo 2! Other than that, this game didnt really stand out from the other fps at the time because the Geomod is hardly present.
As a huge fan of the first game the second was a great disapointment to me. I treat it as a non-canon entry. It's as if the devs through something together quickly for console players but spent no time making a good story or interesting environments to explore. The first game just looks much better. Ultimately I think the devs should have just called this game something else entirely and not a Red Faction game.
I agree 100%... as I mentioned in the video you could have literally removed the 'Red Faction' from the game and it wouldn't have really changed much... and that's never a good sign!

on PC RF1 you can hit the M button to view messages you may have missed - its explained (albeit super briefly) in the training section :) - that was there way of making sure you didn't miss prompts Also with RF2 - totally understand your issue, the devs that ported the game (Outrage Entertainment) Left the soft aim assist in for controller without an option to turn it off for KB/M, very poor choice lol
