so many red flags bar girls have - disappear and go phone silent for days and or weeks and than say battery died or phone breaks - you go to meet her and she isnt there and mamsan or other girls say she just go to get something to eat she be back in one hour 555 - 2 phones - says she is going " back home ' for a week - or the temple for a week and no phones allowed - you can just never get to a spot where you can trust them and temptation is everywhere - you will never know the truth and eat yourself up trying to find out

What it all boils down to , from where I’m concerned … is just never get in a relationship period ,… it’s much cheaper and less stressful to rent instead of buy !

I ignored the red flags with my Thai ex-wife for to long but finally opened my eyes and divorced her a year ago. There's a lot of good woman here in Thailand but you do have to be careful and when money is talked about learn how to say no!!! Another piece of advise, only date Thai women that have a real daytime job lol

If you meet her in a bar in Pattaya, it is a giant red flag already. But seriously, more red flags if all her friends or sisters are in the 'entertainment' industry. If she 'loves you' within days of meeting you, if she sleeps with you the first night you meet her, if she speaks very good English but claims to only be in Pattaya for two weeks. If she has multiple tattoos (most respectable Thai girls don't have any ), if she drinks a lot but does not get drunk, if she gambles, if she is constantly checking her messages, if she goes to the restroom or outside to answer messages of phone calls, If she knows all the discos in Pataya, I could write a book on all the red flags...

Yeah a touchy subject that one Adam ,I have this to add: - (Golden Rule ) Don't take a girl out of the entertainment industry in Thailand and make her your girlfriend .( stick to the one day rule) - Don't date a massage lady either .They work crazy hours and will have no time for you ! - Harden up when your there .If it looks dicey , cut things off and move on . - Don't ruin your holiday by getting emotional over a woman ! - Listen to the Expats they have a wealth of knowledge !

I was sat in a bar in Pattaya once, got chatting to this western guy and his thai girlfriend...a few hours went by she asked for my instagram...whilst most of the night he was trying to convince me that she was genuine and not like the others, all this time she was sending me nudes of herself and telling me to meet her out back.

The best test I've found for dating with a Thai girl is just have one fight or argument with her and see if she treats you any different. If she puts in effort afterwards she could be a keeper if she's distant or rude I would move on. Relationship is work and if both sides aren't able to work together it will never last.

If she takes a younger lad with her on dates with you and says its her brother then 100% it's her Thai boyfriend.

I’m an Expat in Thailand for almost 4 years now, and the problem is not just with girly bars. Even with women who have a job here, they all consider foreigners to be wealthy and are constantly looking for financial handouts or gifts. It’s extremely hard to make an authentic connection with a Thai woman, partly because of the language and the wide cultural differences. But mostly because they only seem to have money on their mind, rather than love in their heart, so the true romance of relationships is almost impossible to find here.

If you really want a good Thai girl, chances are you won't find one that's hanging around tourist areas. You'll have to venture outside of the bar towns. And YES, there are many really good women in Thailand who know how to take care of and respect a man.

I recently started dating a bar girl from soi 6. Yesterday she asked for money as her mum was dying. I said to let her die.

I met a girl on line, over the covid period, and was convinced she was the one (yes very naive) she worked in massage, so I thought she was different to “bar girls”.. long story short, red flags popping up everywhere but I chose to ignore them until I actually met her in person and than suddenly it dawned on me, my missed calls, only for her to call back from toilets or very short, “yung Mak” I’ll call later, the suggestive social media posts with her highlighting certain guys comments , the red light list goes on.. they were all there.. I eventually confronted her about other “boyfriends “ she denied this but than her social media posts got sloppy and had imaginary of her and other blokes, I confronted her again with proof and she admitted “of course I have other boyfriends, how do you think I survive” ..that was (finally 😆) enough for me and I said I’m out.. she just said “ok” not angry , nothing, I was just another number & she obviously had others… for the record , yes I did send her money, yes I am stupid, but yes I have learnt my lesson 😆😆

Ive been to Thailand about 4 x now and ive dated different types of woman its easy to say that finding a real woman outside of the bars and massage parlors is alot better for you on the long term This is because the girls that you find mainly in the nightlife areas and massage parlors are focust on 1 thing and 1 thing only *MONEY* they might pretend they like you at first but once you get to know them better you quikly find out that all she wants to do is either go to the bars with you (and give her lady drinks) or just go shopping . Its possible to find the rare gem that just wants to hang out regardless of what youre doeing but its hard to find those in all my visits ive had it happen twice which isnt alot to say the least . Also if a thai girl asks you for money or to go shopping note that this is NOT how real thai woman behave a real true thai girl that works and goes to school will never just ask for money and materialistic possesions and that is the type of girl you will be much happier with in the long haul than just a spoilt lady that loves you untill youre wallet is empty .

My Thai gf is a teacher and is aware of the stigma/reputation of Thai girls asking foreign boyfriends for money, so she never asks for it and, in fact, turns money down if it's ever offered. Even if she really does need it!

One of the main warning signs with a Thai girl you meet on the streets or a bar is how well she speaks and understands English. If she understands and speaks it well she is probably far smarter than you. She has been in the business a long time and knows all the tricks and more than likely has many men all over the world that come to Thailand often and spend their time with her. Also keep in mind that many of these girls in the business have had many customers that saved money for years to have a 2 week holiday in Thailand and many will keep the girl he met the first night while he was in Thailand and during that 2 week holiday he showered the girl with gifts gave her cash, took her out to good restaurants, dancing, drinking, and shopping. If you think she is going to give that up to spend her life with you in a one bedroom apartment cooking, cleaning and waiting on you think again.

In Thailand right now.. I have traveled to various places (Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Phuket)... I don't go to bars. It's still difficult to find a Thai girl who isn't comparing you to some imagined rich standard or to stories about their friends with rich foreigners. I laughed at the 2 phones issue because when I finally visit TH and VN, I plan to have my regular phone and buy a cheap phone in BKK to use for contact with whatever girls I meet. When replayed the video from the spycam lighter, she had loads of men lining up to giz on her face, don't know what the site was called , he said hundreds of men with the todgers out ,then she would press the screen and his cam came on . He packed up and left immediately, a couple of hours later he would have been thirty thousand pounds out of pocket, what a lucky escape he had. Don't know what this like 3d porn site was. Never ever send a Thai girl money.

I have a woman I wanted to marry but the pattern of saying "You need to", "You should" really is a deal breaker, especially when the non-stop critique of my personality. I am in my early 30's with mid level SMV. I would like to think you can find true love in Thailand but realistically speaking I am not sure it will happen. Even outside the bar girl scene I am afraid alot of girls in Thailand will not like you for you, they will just see you as a meal ticket even if you are somewhat attractive. In a few months I will go back to Thailand and try my luck again but if that fails I will give either Japan or The Philippines a go. Pay for play does exist there too but many men I have spoken to have told me as long you look presentable and have good intentions then you could easily find a girl that likes you for you.

I've found that applying the 3-day rule works well when in Thailand. If things extend beyond that timeframe, I tend to reconsider the connection. In cases where there's genuine interest, she often takes the initiative to seek you out, and she might even go the extra mile to meet up, even if you happen to be at a different bar.

Thai here. I don't see problem with multiple phones. I have three of them sometimes at same time. One to video chat with partner. One open to translation app at same time. They all tied together to my social media. One thing Noone ever mentions in any of these videos is if you in a relationship with a normal girl. There will be other jealous thai men that a Thai girl is with a farang. So trust her. I've had Thai guys send old photos of us together or screenshots of video chats that are normal and they send them to foreigner to make them angry. Sometimes Thai men are more jealous than other Thai girls. Especially if they from poor village like me.

I agree on all the 3 flags u highlighted, except the last flag. 1. Being the obvious; and most experienced party guys would say - fuck n dump. 2. 2 phones or more; yea u are right on it but how fast depends cos sometimes Thailand signal sux, esp some people don't immediately reply but are genuinely decent people. This however is a good indicator; most don't afford 2 as it requires efforts to pay or maintain the line and it can be extremely expensive to for them based on their salary range there. The other line is 1000% maintained by their darlings monthly, be it knowingly or not. 3. Traveling alot; a definite yes but u need see the frequency; Do you guys know 90% of the Thai religion is buddhism but they have undercover roles as well? Most of these girls moonlight as call girls overseas in affluent countries like Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc and all these they usually go thru contacts via the buddhist 'monks' who are gangsters leaders etc in actuality. The connection is such that girls like these, usually poor village girls who wanted a better life, approaches monks to pray for better luck and some lament their issues to them. The monks in return for their 'donations', lights up their connecting men with outside residents in that few countries if there's 'demand/vacancies'. Mostly its a go but depending on some people, they usually go to those who can speak English as they earn more, or have higher chances of hooking a long line. 4th flag on not working etc; its subjective as I do know of families with girls who don't work as they have channels of wealth coming in, some legit, most not. And while there are few in non-legit channels, they arent always not the ones not to approach but its not easy as their family generally are very well versed in filtering who they can continue relationship with and mostly are Thais themselves, usually the higher class or caste few. These families often deal in; drugs, illegal money laundering/gambling, trafficking etc and i generally advise caution, particularly obvious farangs, to be very wary of them as u will become one of their possible branch-out connections from Thailand if u do land one. I'd wanna add 3 extra ones are; - one who drinks/smokes frequently; not discriminating smokers but most girls if not all who does, are not the 'go-to' ones as they mostly have connections to places that require them to smoke or bear with the smoke etc and they get into the habit. Some are even drug dependant. Those places in mention are only the night entertainment ones in Thailand. - sales girls; In general, most sales girls look demure but often if not always those who don't earn enough or have extreme wants (like gucci bags, new iphone etc) are the ones who will 100% moonlights and not the go-to type. These are also the few types where the families with 'large connections' will look to for potential 'supplies' to overseas 'demands'. - girls who have kids early; 99% of them usually immediately turn to easy way out to maintain the high cost of taking care of 3~5 mouths in the family. Such girls don't just have themselves to look out for but their parents (who will look after their kids) as well as possible siblings etc. The best few girls to date are mostly girls who have normal families; poor or not, seldom go out of the countries (frequencies like less than 4months to 2 years' or ever, except within Thailand), works normal jobs except sales (sales girls makes 99% part time call girls easily as its usually hard to close any in Thailand without good connections) and best of all, seldom drinks & not smoke.

Hi Adam. This is good advice, applies to all Thai girls, not just bar girls. Experienced it myself, sadly.

If you are a retiree and know yourself, a good head on your shoulders and what you really want, a retiree should not have to go through some of these traps. Personally, with 2 failed marriages, I just want to be left alone, in a warm/hot climate, live well, with good inexpensive food, beaches, a good gym and be living in peace. Short and sweet time GF, no fuss, no muss. Dealing with constant crap and unreasonable women who think men owe them, not for me.

The country started its universal coverage program in 2002, which opened up universal health coverage to all citizens. Most Thais receive health coverage through that universal coverage scheme." - when I was there during C-19 they would actually be put into 3/4 star hotels to quarantine free of charge.

There are plenty of good ones (away from bar/massage/social places) but 1 problem I often see that I thought I would mention is that the guy gets infatuated with a girl (for good reason) but gives in to her every wish & forgets that he is the man & is allowed to say no. When the man isn't a man/leader, the woman doesn't gain any respect for that person - it's human nature. Saying no sometimes from the beginning is a great test too which will quickly determine her intentions. It's not the only test but I found it to be a good one. Cheers

Well, this is well before you and most of your subscribers were born, but in 1973 (at 20), I met a great Thai woman at the Thermae Cafe. Pom worked at the Ministry of Finance (กระทรวงการคลัง) until she retired. Best R&R I have ever had. Over the decades, we visited many times and are still friends, as are our children. Love being called uncle. Of all my 50+ visits to Thailand, I learn that bar girls like beers are short-term possessions. I loved every beer, but commonsense will teach harsh lessons if you indulge carelessly. Meanwhile, there are a few places like Thermae where if you take time to talk you will be very surprised to find who you just bought a drink to... :-)

Most men that meet girls in Pattaya I would say over 50 percent of Falangs have then either married a girl from Bars or have a current GF from a Bar they’re not all bad and a lot of girls have either children to support or family they help support.
