I've had Red Havens in my yard for years. They are a great peach for flavor and texture! Though like other people I have problems with critters. Birds peck at them, squirrels steal them, and I've had racoons rob me of my entire crop overnight right at harvest time!!
They look so nice, I have a peach tree here in ireland but never had any fruit, they tree also suffers from peach leaf curl, it’s much too cold and wet here
I have a RED HAVEN and it does great here in Maryland. Unfortunately, the Squirrels have taken my peaches for the last 2 years. (I have 3 huge trees above my Semi Dwarf peach so I think they just drop down right on it). SMH
Was labeled Red Haven from Costco so can’t be 100% sure but I can send you scion wood to try and see if it is more resistant to curl. I sell scion wood in January. Contact me on Facebook messenger @nick kasko
A late frost killed my peach season this year,😢 my red haven and early Elberta blooms died. I only had two red havens this year. Also got bad peach leaf curl on both trees. Just sprayed it with copper spray and it’s worked very well. The two I had were SUPER JUICY and delicious
