One of my all time favorite flowering shrubs is the the Red Heart Althea. It’s a large shrub, growing to 8’ t x6’w and thrives in part shade to full sun. It is deer resistant, low water and little to no maintenance once established. A profusion of white blooms surrounding red centers cover the shrub off and on throughout the spring and summer months. It’s a deciduous, woody shrub that stands the test of time.
