Call me silly but I still have hope that John returns.. Edit: I have the tickets for the first concert of the tour in Sevilla 2022. See you there guys!!
@@michaelpal5807 *were friends. Klinghoffer has said recently he doesn't consider himself friends with John anymore. Not that they've fallen out, just drifted
This was not only the greatest solo of all the history of rock and roll, it was pure expression. The secret recesses of the human soul exposed in a brutal way. In a way in which it makes you connect with the most underneath emotions maybe stuck within yourself, screams for sincerity, for peace, screaming in agony for understanding. The kind of Art that makes you believe in the human race. That makes you wanna live. This guy did all of that in twelve minutes. He lived a thousand lifetimes, felt a thousand lives, he went into a journey in which only a few people went and dare to. His expressions makes you feel welcomed, seen, heard, valued, loved. In times where nobody seems to understand us or not even ourselves seems to notice to what direction we must go, this guy came and makes you feel like a friend. That’s why John Frusciante is one if not my favorite artist in which, in my limited life, I could came across. I’m forever grateful to have been able to feel this piece of art, this living entity, in my life. Thanks John.
I know this is 4 years old but this made me lol. I just read it as a band of fuck ups watching this video and the one sane member says "SEE! Now THIS is a band that had their shit together!"
I don’t think people are actually getting how they play as band. And their argument is that John is basically playing the thing for like 5 min and flea is doing all the work, that was not the intention. John was playing the same thing because flea was the one playing the solo not him, the first half has fleas time to shine and the second was johns
John is crying through his guitar; whether its tears of joy, sadness, experience, sorrow, spite, bliss, elation or a mix of all of them, its brilliant.
I'm pretty sure his choice to leave the band was more down to him wanting to take a different direction with his music. He may have been fatigued at that point but he doesn't look unhappy lool
@@Johnny_Zed Yeah life on the road is tough. It's not easy being a musician. Everyday you're inside a van, or if you're lucky, a bus, with the same people, for up to a year at a time. You're following a strict schedule and you don't get to live your regular life. There's no freedom. All you get is you get to play music for a living, groupies, and drugs. And look at what that did to John.
@@MarianFD Yeah his whole kit sounds weak and muddy. There's a 45 minute version of this show that contains all the hits and it sounds amazing, it's much better quality. I wish there was a version like it of the whole show.
Anthony's lyrics are cool and they work to create the songs, and i love the guy.......but man are Flea, John and Chad 3 of the best to ever do it at there respective instruments, and how the 4 of them come together to create magic is beyond words.....and i still cant believe JOHN IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the most beautiful things my ears have EVER heard. John's guitar was communicating with Flea's base and vice versa, all combined with Chad's beautiful drumming. This, this is peak Peppers. It's a dance of their souls, they transcended their bodies during this performance.
The funny thing of this four guitarist all of they have a dirty sound which i have Nothing against specially when you think about it frusciante ídols where page and hendrix.
I love how Flea and Chad are kind of pushing it forwards and carrying it while John rides on it and makes it beautiful. RHCP jams are like a storm that starts out calm and then rages before calming and slowing again.
Finally someone who has some semblance of understanding the way their jams form and transform, and u seem to understand music at least on a level most people will never experience. But also people that literally worship John are fucking assholes. If they took any time to actually know his story they would probably talk shit about him. And Flea would probably spit in their wheaties. You’ll never find a bigger fan of their music, but John hates media, hates the music industry, has been to hell and back and all people do is think about themselves being happy. Fuck all you idol worshipping sheeple. Let the bands music speak for itself without praising people as gods amongst humans for something that is way beyond the average chili pepper fan who think Frusciante was in the original lineup, or go be a Bieber Boy. 🐑🐑🐑
@@LonnardTree I love how Nashville and Nashville are kind of pushing it forwards and carrying it while Nashville rides on it and makes it beautiful. Nashville jams are like a storm that starts out calm and then rages before calming and slowing again.
Amazing you say that because in a interview or podcast I can’t recall he said that’s he thinks of music in colors that go together. And he also a artist
i was just watching this and realizing that Josh Hof is in there doing keyboards. I know he's been with these guys for years before he became the guitarist, as the back up, but I've been wondering what direction he's going from here.
One specific part I love about this performance is from minute 7:00 onwards, how quickly Chad picks up on Fleas change in rythm. It's literally one bar until he does it as well.
Just in case you don't know, but you probably do know, Frusciante produces hip hop beats for the Black Knights, check out their albums 'Midieval Chamber' and 'The Almighty'. And Frusciante's solo producing!
holy fuck do you guys realize that josh weird space noises give this entire jam it's feel. I know it might be much but they compliment Johns guitar, when he uses the phaser pedal, very well
From a musician point of view, the guitarist doesn’t play on the beat. He doesn’t communicate with other musicians. The first 5 minutes are the more boring of my life.
@@francoisnuq3304 highlight exactly where he isn't in tempo with what flea or smith has established. Out of all the people on that stage, John is arguably the one trained in musicianship the most. And from what I see, the entire segment was communicated as well as it could have, especially at 3:25, 5:00, 7:20-7:30, 11:10-11:20, etc. etc.
Mixed feelings. Love them both, but Josh more. They are different kind of guitar players so in the end it's about personal taste, not about better or worse.
I do the same guys. Weird sensation, is like everyone of us have the feeling that John is our friend. In some way I want this just to be mine but also at the same time, I want to share with everybody of you, who want to listen, his beautiful soul speaking.
Well there are some jam one can find on youtube consisting of Flea, Frusciante ond Omar Rodriguez Lopez (the guitarist of At the drive in and Mars Volta). No Chad Smith well no drums at all, but still worthwile. Omar and John also did a beautiful EP together, highly recommended. ATAXIA (consisting of Frusciante, Klingenhoffer and the Bassist of Fugazi) has some lyrics in it, but feels the most freestylish jamesque record out of all the music Frusciante has been involved with imho.
I can’t explain what I feel when I hear this, it’s different from everything else, this jam is beyond perfect. Eargasmic is the best way to describe this
I know John thinks he's good in his mind but I also think he doesn't realize how incredible he is just pure emotion and feeling I'm happy to be alive to witness it
These guys, damn they're like the modern day Led Zeppelin, The funky bassist, the always improvisation guitar solo, Anthony great ability to sync the lyrics tempo through all those blowing instrument , and damn i know nothing about drumming but Chad really absorb all of what his comrade throwing at him man, DAMN.
If you were wondering he is top tier of drummers and well revered by peers and contemporaries and he does it on 5 piece kits sometimes a few more thrown in but pretty rudimentary and bare bones ships with a master skipper! He truly shows in Chickenfoot what else he can do
@@allrounder242 yea just because this person said such horseshit i gotta humble them too. RHCP whether song or jam or live or studio you wont find a band so in sync with each other and Smith, Flea, Froosh, and Anthony are RHCP the one and only these other members that have come and gone truly show how much Froosh plays a part in the entire algorithm from songwriting and arrangement to texture and tone the rhythms and melodies the harmony and groove the amazing guitar parts and meshing he truly is amazing. All.of them are.
@@ТочкаБифуркацииТ Honesly, after their early days Led Zeppelin was going downhill fast. Especially after the death of John Bonham and Page‘s addiction.
I feel comparing them to The Who is more fitting. Anthony and Rodger are both excelent front men, especially live. Flea is one of the few who can play bass on the level of Entwistle, and rocks the skeleton suit too. Chad and Moon are both absolute beasts on the drums. Frusciante and Townshend are both unstoppable creative forces...
Well I mean besides the fact that Anthony isn’t nearly as musically talented as the others, singers can’t really do much in jams. Especially in this one, he would just be taking away from the others
7:33 t0 8:58 ... I've heard A LOT of insanely good guitar work... but the stuff John does here?? That's the most transcending, cosmic mindbreak of music I think I've EVER heard; five years after I first found this, I still listen to it as often as I can!!
@lol shit NO WAY Anthonys voice just is mesmerizing when coupled with the rest of the band. Without Anthony Red hot CHili Peppers are not complete. Anthonys voice is one of the most unique voices in the history of rock and roll
People shit on Josh like there aren't good tracks on IWY like Did I let you know and police station + Goodbye Angels and Dreams of a Samurai on The Getaway
I've actually been refraining from commenting on this piece simply because I know that if I do, I wouldn't be able to stop complementing it in every single way possible. What they've done here, without any rehearsal, is amazing. The harmonies they put together using nothing but imrpovisation and their ability to read each other...and at such a high quality of music at the same time. Ridiculously good. These guys aren't just legends of rock, they are legends of music.
es increíble la creatividad que tiene flea hermano, manejo todo el tiempo la batuta, supo cuando hacia falta un cambio de flow y se arriesgo a improvisar cuando hacia falta, na este tipo me sorprende cada dia mas
led zepelin tendra a su performance de strarway to heavenin earl court in 75´, Pink floyd tendra Shine or your crazy diamonds live at knewbord y los peppers tienen este momentazo epico del rock
