It is a climate generated in the scale of A minor, it generates a sense of suspension, nostalgia and hope, since the change of only one note in the chord gives enough tension to go back and forth to keep the whole climate going up and down in octaves and volume. It also gives a sense of inspiration and desperation. You can make the analogy of "search" too, A minor can't give the resolution that F7 needs and so the search begins a dance between 2 chords that won't give up their nature for change, until... slowly... And calm... There is no hope, "a Minor" Californication starts.
I swear this first minute cures cancer, John Frusciante is the most amazing musician to have ever graced the earth with his presence, this man can convey emotion trough his music like no other human being can.
Jams is just like Rain... For one moment it's just little drops, and then comes storm, after storm rain is again calm.. and after that Musicians are fully powered of energy again :)
@jdixon920 I love music more than anything in life, truly.. but hearing those kind of bits while baked as fuck, man.. it just takes you to another planet
RHCP was at its best when John was the guitarist. John's and Flea's different but unique philosophies complement each other to form substantial instrumentals in their music
Our wishes have been granted, josh was great but everyone knows the Rhcp are & have always been at their best with the current line up. I got to see them but it was after John took a break. They were really good but I was honestly devastated not to have seen them with John playing in the band. Hopefully I get the chance to see them again.
Now we're talking. This video is the most sense a youtube video could ever make. I fully appreciate it - and part 1 and 2 as well :D twinkle8539 you're a gift to humanity!
Chilis with Fruciante, best band in the world, I say that at a party and there are always a few who agree definitely . the jams with Flea, one of the great duos of music. his guitar solos are perfect to me , he goes to a surprising place but its just so right and good.
I feel like these jams are something very intimate. So intimate that it is almost voyeuristic to listen in on them. To me, they are like the last conversation between two people who meant a lot to each other at some point, or they still do. But they have to part, not in anger or disillusionment, but in grief and sadness. Every word, if you will, is important and carries meaning. It is dramatic without being histrionic.
