@@kylebishop4861 John said to rick rubin there was songs that came out from the same jam with just minutes of difference, sure he was referering to afterlife and watchu thinkin
This album is pretty much more experimental than the last one. A lot of hits in unlimited love, especially radio friendly ones, but this new album is what i think a lot of chili peppers’ fans where expecting in terms of bringing different references, including john’s solo career, and prospecting the directions the band may take from now on compared to what was left over when john left. Hope to see the band experimenting and freely composing even more, towards expanding their boundaries and affecting more people.
but still have a "Bee in my bonnet" about the space filler bee-bop and scattin (bad ba bee da bommp) just turn that placeholder into meaningful lyrics, ffs...so frustratingly lazy
[Intro] Hahahaha… Long live the king The young grows old with his buffalo spring [Verse 1] I got a Tupelo and we're ready to go We gonna hit it all night with the rock and a roll And if I'm feelin' uptight, gonna leave it alone We're gonna board up on the flight to the great unknown, well [Pre-Chorus 1] That's all I'm saying now Hear what I'm playing, yes High on a light from above You're somebody special, well Someone to wrestle now Take from the lake of your love [Chorus] Long after we have been gone from this song Well, the afterlife sings one for mе Lost in the length of those warm-ass horizons Thе afterlife knows where I'll be [Verse 2] We gonna get it up for the brotherly cup And when I bring it on down with the Jamison Brown Well, on a cold, cold night 'round a Baton a-Rouge We gonna make it alright with Iggy the Stooge, well [Pre-Chorus 2] Pull on my lever, it's My guilty pleasure, yes Born to live life on the run Take from this river, and Give to the ocean, yeah They gave us more than enough [Chorus] Long after we have been gone from this song Well, the afterlife sings one for me Lost in the length of those warm-ass horizons The afterlife knows where I'll be [Bridge] *scatting* [Chorus] Long after we have been gone from this song Well, the afterlife sings one for me Lost in the length of those warm-ass horizons The afterlife knows where I'll be [Chorus] Long after we have been gone from this song There will be something to see My mother said there will be some surprises The afterlife shows them to me [Guitar Solo]
@@nolansyers Yeahh, both of those are amazing. I really like The Shape I'm Takin' too, but I guess we'll have to wait a while to listen to that officially
how are these guys in their 60s? they keep doing fresh music instead of repeating old formulas :) sounds like stuff even new indie bands could play, very groovy and chill
Only replied because Anthony is just about to turn 60 and my birthday is exactly 2 months after him and I hate the thought of us "being in our 60's" 🙂 sounds so old 😞wwwwwaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
This song is one of the greatests of this album, it's soo funky and I think that this is the style that I enjoy the most listening to the Chili Peppers. Please produce more songs like this one, and like those old Chili Peppers releases from the Blood Sugar Sex Magik
His last good album. I wished he'd stop messing around with synths and picked up his guitar again, him rejoining RHCP has made it come true. Hell, he even made good use of synths in this album
Lol I've had this twisted fantasy of holding the band captive and they can only be released once they've performed all the songs from their first album up until the latest one.
The best thing about Chili Peppers is they never do the same thing but they never don’t sound like themselves. I might come under fire for this but that’s why I liked Klinghoffer stuff too- it’s not the RHCP I grew up on but that’s the point. I like how much they surprise and engage. They always have. But yes, god, it’s good to have Frusciante.
Haha, I slept only two hours, 'cause I played GTA IV til morning on a few nights and I was gonna go back to sleep but then I found this and I made coffee before that and I am still listening to this! ✌😁👍 🤘👌
