I'm not joking, I heard 4 seconds of this song and I already liked it. I can't express only with words what I'm feeling right now at 4 a.m in my room. Thank you guys, you changed our lives. Thank you for exist.
Except worse... Band is is killing it though, but there is no soul in his voice anymore 😪 I learned to play bass because of this band. Still like the band!
It seems they always prerelease their weakest songs. I was worried when they dropped the first one, especially with that silly accent Kiedis dropped. But this and several others are pretty strong.
@@ondrejradosta3180 I disagree but I can understand you perfectly. In my opinion this album is holistic, it has consistent quality and that what makes it great.
@@obliquusfasciculare9963 John Frusciante is for me more than a legend, he is an inspirational musician, who not only created whole new music style, but was also able to create so many iconic melodies. I love what he brought to RHCP I love his solo albums too. So, what I expected from his reunion was nothing less than a masterpiece.. and most of the songs I've heard from the new album are so generic, like any other filler in radio :( I mean nice to listen, but no significant melody :( the first single is even a ripoff of my favorite song from Katie Melua, Perfect circle :(
not exactly "generic" but yeah only 5-6 songs from this album that i actually like, maybe i'm expecting another Stadium Arcadium when every song is banger, but also maybe since it's their first album with John since 2009 so they need a bit of warmup or something, just like I'm with You is a bit too mild and dare i say forgettable on my taste but The Getaway is where Josh Shine
@@ratamahatta5306 Yes, I hope it is about warming up :)) I also hoped for another Stadium Arcadium, or Californication.. or at least By the way... any really significant melody from John.... I need that. When you listen to any song from these albums, you hear the melody right away... so many musical ideas... but here I can't hear it :( And again, the first single Black Summer has so generic melody, that I can name several pop songs with same melody and same chord progression :( These Are The Ways are again... like something from B-side from By the way, which was abandoned, because it sounds so much like other songs on that album :( This album sounds like their debut... like when they were searching for the sound...
Yep..there are a few moments on the album where you can hear distinct bass rhythms that remind us of past Pepper songs. I just can't remember the others right now or I would list them.
This is up there with Aquatic Mouth Dance and The Great Apes as my favourite song on the album; it's like Anthony's lyrics are lot more focused, a lot more story driven than they have been since... well... the Hillel days, arguably!! And John's tone and lightness is beautiful; I'm gonna say it, this feels to me like their most cohesive, focused and consistently brilliant album since Californication!!
Totally Agree ... I find them inspiring ... so I picked up my gear and bashed out ' Space Boy - Maggie is Hurting me' ... Thanks guys it was so liberating.
Awesome song 🤩❤️🔥the whole album feels so new, showing us so many different sounds, but somehow also feels nostalgic and reminds me of all the different rhcp stages and sounds through the years. It's simply amazing. What a gift.

Hello, I'm a Korean who listens to RHCP songs from time to time. A restaurant near my area (Korea) sells a food called red hot chilli peppers, but that store uses the band icon as it is, so I am writing to see if it is okay.
Come from the sun in San Marino Guess that makes me Angeleno Friends got married, had them dogs Now they read those catalogues This commerce makes me nauseous (Ah) When did life get so damn cautious? I'll say it again... Shangri La studio is/always has been amazing, but all these boys should record the next one at The Mansion. That place makes RHCP a different animal! ☮💜🕉
OMG I'm reading some comments and I only wanna ask: are you crazy?! This is Anthony, the man who is not the delicated singer that you imagine like the ideal on your dreams but he is just the amazing Kiedis. Nobody could imagine RHCP without him. And this song is a retro-flash of what they were in '80/'90. I love it! Just enjoy of the band's evolution... You can't just hear 40 years of the same music of the same band if you're a Red Hot's fan. A big hug from Rosario, Argentina!
Yeah, definitely sounded like a throwback to show me your soul.. with a little storm in a teacup in the mix 🔥 the peppers got their youthful, funky groove on in this song, no doubt about it 🤘
Fan since 1990 and after initially struggling with the album I’ve listened to it loads now and love this tune It takes me back it’s so old Chilis sounding
Jamais perdem o estilo que criaram desde o começo. Isso se chamar saber o que faz. Tenho tatuada na pele essa banda.. e com orgulho. Bom trabalho, como sempre!!
Both my Mum and Dad have Red Hot Chili Peppers asterix tattoos and my Dad has the same tribal dagger that Anthony Keidis has on his arm, maybe I should think about getting a RHCP tattoo done. 🤔😅🙌💖🔥
Wooooow!!!! Los Peppers demostrando porque son una banda única y una de las razones es la química de los 4 fantásticos: Flea, Frusciante, Chad y Kiedis.... No me queda más que decir que este es un rol-on 🎧👌🏽🤟🏽.
I'm 16 years old and have been listening to RHCP for like a month. They are one of the few artists whose songs I can listen to all the time and I don't know why but I feel like I've known them for years. I am happy and excited about the new album. They have been making music for the past 4 decades without losing their authenticity and that says a lot about them.
i listen to every of those official audio's here on yt right now and after every track so far i think "this one's my fav!". speaks for the album i guess
