It's a song that everyone thinks is easy because it repeats a lot, but it's pretty hard to play, but the perfect rhythm, left-handed skill, and right-handed picking are cool❤️🔥
I've seen videos where people alternate pick, so down up down. But I'm learning it rn and much prefer down, down, up. Just feels more economical and natural for me
Thank you. Yes I did but I multi-tracked the riff to make it sound fatter. So basically if you listen to it on your headphones you will hear one guitar in left channel and the other one in the right. I find this song physically and mentally exhausting to play :)
@@heycisco yeah it really is... especially after that first chorus, going straight back into the main picking riff is just brutally hard... and the bridge and chorus being so fast just murders you after picking so fast for so long... no wonder he often slows it down when playing live.
Thank you. Possibly, not many left hand stretches here that usually would make it challenging. It's the relentless sixteenth notes that I find exhausting to play.
This song is so easy to listen, but unbelievably hard to play! Although this is one of the best best covers I have found, still there is one small detail missing. Paul Davids broke it down to 4 pieces here and heycisco mastered that all, except the emphasizing of the hammerons, mentioned here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vbuUgetNnKQ.html. Still as I said - great job indeed!
@@heycisco thanks for your answer, great you not take it as criticism, but a way to improve even more. Also after all this, I cannot imagine playing that live on stage. Frusciante is monster.
There's no original guitar here, except the fuzzy bits at the end. All you can hear is my guitar doubled tracked. So you can hear two separate tracks I recorded - one in left and one in right channel, arpeggio overdubs and solo bits.
