@@ldbpodast4587 dude I’m waiting for an ultimate DVD or complete library collection of everything…concerts, Gigs, interviews on tv radio and podcasts, every live performance on letterman, Kimmel and fellon 🌶️ ♥️ 🌶️
It sure is messing with my sleep schedule. So many new John era videos to watch. I’d been watching the old ones for so long, feels so good to have so much out right now
I agree! Speaking as someone who plays drums it can be difficult keeping up with a super talented guitarist and bassist. Chad not only keeps up with them but he compliments their playing and even steers their playing during the course of this jam. As amazing as John and Flea are, so is Chad.
As much as I miss and love all the music they made with Josh I have to admit that the chemistry and magic in John's jams with Flea are out of this world.
Yes it is something out of this word and let me express just a thinking in some words. If do not like give it away and remember the love of your Self in Nirvana you could get. I Hope so....I belive so...but Nirvana is out of this world as well as part of the world who knows? maybe only God... To get the unlimited love one should give away all what is no love. That is blind emotion or blind devotion. So love the love and give It away blind emotion like express the song let' Em cry. Why? because she or he should learn to get the love by giving away blind emotion. You can get it by listening RHCP and not blind devotion or blind preachers with no real wisdom or blind songs with facke devotion. So get emotion and with that emotion get the devotion to the love beyond emotion or blind devotion dear. "Love you all mother fuckers"(Flea)
@@ninagray4441 John is the reason I started playing guitar over 18 years ago. He is the only guitarist for RHCP. I look at their time with Josh almost as if its a different band. John needed time away and Josh stepped up to the plate so show some respect. He kept the ball rolling for them and put out some great music. Sure I like John 100 times more than Josh but no reason to hate on the guy or his time with the band. Be appreciative.
@@p-mac5969 i don't think it's hate, JK did his job the best he could and indeed kept the ball rolling. It's also unfair to compare... JF is a proper top guitarplayer that created so much of their best catalogue and their chemistry is still great. It's more a comment towards people that when UL came out were saying JK was better, they missed him etc JF was not as good etc which is absurd, they can't be real rhcp fans, they can't really know the band nor John as an artist to say such a stupid thing. Like Sabbath without Ozzy and Ward... it's another thing, a joke. No one will remember the rhcp albums between 2009 and 2019 in 20 years from now. Dull and sterile albums... and clearly they were aware of that.
@@ninagray4441 I don't agree at all. During 2017-2019 Josh had an explosion of brutal creativity; you just have to watch Lollapalooza in Brazil in 2018. I think Josh started off a bit weak but eventually came out of his shell. The only "problem" is that John is an amazing musician (as is Josh) who has unique chemistry with Flea. In fact Chad in a recent interview as Josh said that he was a guitar player that complemented him well.
Eveyrbody mentions Flea and John in these, but mad props to Chad. Not only is he able to compliment and keep up with those 2, he still stands apart on his own as well!!! An amazing and very underrated drummer
Well underrated Not so . . Chad is High ranked by LOADS of Musicians , eeuhhh Glenn Hughes to just mention one . These Guys dont go for second Best You know . .
Chad is the damn physicality of the band. The backbone. I highly doubt there is anyone else who could blend with the style of the peppers as well as Mr. Chad Smith. A legend in his own. I have said it for years. The trio is without question a musical phenomenon
He’s been textural in his playing (Cali) in some eras and flashy in others (Stadium). This is my favorite live JF era because hes perfected the balance of the two
So true and he's even said as much himself in recent interviews about wanting to try and bridge the gap between Kurt Cobain's and EVH's playing. He continues to be a student of the guitar but he's also a master at this point
So much love for this band. My wedding song was hard to concentrate and they played it at the concert I saw them in the NL, with my baby in my wife’s stomach, whose name is Zephyr and born the same week as their latest album. My wife and I have loved them for over 18 years together ❤️
Yes you have listen too jimmy hendrix more closely and the free bird solo. Don’t get me wrong though I fucjing absolute love my boy Johnny. He’s my favourite guitarist. But it’s a stretch too say you’ve never heard anyone like him. Unless you just don’t listen too much music. Also hillel slovak influenced him a lot. You can hear it.
I just watched them in Houston last night at Minute Maid and they were absolutely fantastic. Their Intro Jam, much like this one, definitely set us up for what the evening was going to be like...flat out wonderful. Great musicianship from some veteran pros.
I just realized John Frusciante might be the last auihentic true guitarist. Not that new good guitarists wont happen, but that his link to the hendrix era of electric guitar innovation, gridning as a kid in 70s and 80s and still creating today in that genre. Few like him are left and he is a treasure
The problem with new guitarists is that they don't write legendary songs. Think about it, Jimmy Page, John Frusciante, Clapton, Hendrix are all people who not only were masters on guitar but also master songwriters.
@@johnlemon874 you can be both. I'm a biiig fan of John Mayers blues work, and he's 100% a great songwriter, or he wouldn't have had so many hits. It's just that rock is not really the mainstream music anymore.
Fortunately was at this show…..WHAT A HELLUVA WAY TO START A CONCERT! Welcome back TRICK FINGER JOHN FRUSCIANTE!!!! Carry me home off new album is SICK A F
The more I become aquatinted with the guitar playing of Rory Gallagher, I see huge parallels with JF. Not necessarily in tone or sound, although they both play strats, but more in their feel, and how both are virtuosic in a very natural way without trying to impress with technical playing or by cramming a million notes in. If you like John’s playing, definitely check out the live videos of the late, great Rory Gallagher.
Yes I’ve often thought that . I adore both of them. I’ve been to Rory’s statue in Ballyshannon and his grave in Co.Cork . I unfortunately am too young to have seen him play. Luckily RU-vid have hours of his footage. I am starting to listen to the RHCP more and more lately and only finding out now how good John is. Both he and Rory are fantastic singers also. RHCP live at Slane castle is an unbelievable concert. They might headline Slane again in the future, 🤞🏻
I completely agree, Coachella 2007 intro jam has a piercing energetic drive to it that I have never heard topped by them. Chad is better now in certain aspects of his playing, but the clean powerful fills in that jam were amazing.
Californication was one of the first cd's I bought myself as a kid. 20 years later and finally got to see them live at Louder than Life and they blew me away! I immediately ordered a shirt and both new albums! Can't wait to see them again!
I wish I was setting on the side like back in the old days of working production, I need to see this in person , but I need to be close, haha amazing !!
This band has been lucky to have had so many of Rock's all-time greatest guitarists in their lineup (from all the way back to Hilel Slovak on their first three LPs, thru Frusciante's three stints as LG, and Jane's Addiction's Dave Navarro's brief one album tenure, and Josh -- who was no slouch himself)!!
