@@yuverlaycaceres7451I've used RLT for old abdominal surgical scars... I helped soften the skin and seriously made them look less noticeable!! I was skeptical at first. But I trusted the practitioner 💯. And I patiently followed his directions and to my surprise, it works. 😊
Dr. Dray, could you do a video breaking down all the various LED face mask on the market these days and how can a consumer best go about evaluating them against one another - I'm in the market for one but have no idea the criteria i should look for when trying to determine which brand to go with.
Dr. Dray, There is a gym that has a stand up red light therapy, just like a tanning both would be. Do you think that would be beneficial? Than you so much! 🙂
Girl no, run. I used it, the guy promissed me that it would not have UV, I triple checked. What happened? I got a tan/hyperpigmentation mark along all bodyparts that touched the bed. It was a beauty angel to lay down. It did make my skin soft, yes - but now my back, bum, legs are brown. I feel like a topless oreo cookie. If you are NOT prone to hyperpigmentation then go for it. But if you want to avoid hyperpigmentation, don't use it. The one in the gym also has a huge amount of radiation, which is harmful to DNA. If you go for red light therapy, buy LEDs, they don't have the radiation.
Does it cause facial hair to grow? I'm a woman I don't want that. Thanks in advance. I have just got a red light wand, I'm just curious from a red light user.
My partner was in a mountain biking accident years ago, his knee had to be reconstructed with titanium screws and plates. The IR dome his mum lent him gave him relief, despite our skepticism. His family is all about the ski hill so they all have had injuries that ended up needing it.
@@chikihc yes, it is infrared light! Look at the wavelengths on the light of you still have it! The company website for Platinum LED Therapy has a good guide called “Red Wavelength: Everything You Need To Know”. You might get some use out of that light! Good luck!❤️🍀
I use my red light therapy for days I experience a lot of work stress and I know that stress makes my skin age faster. For brightening and tightening, I switch to green light.
Taking care of my skin is essential. Red light therapy has been transformative, significantly improving my skin's texture and reducing wrinkles. At 46, I look and feel much younger! I got my RLT panel from Future Form Official, and it's budget-friendly.
Thank you for sharing! Which one did you purchase? What series number is it? I was looking at the website you mentioned and they have a variety of panels and mats. For ex they have Future form 300 panel, Future from 500 panel, 700 panel, body wrap and mats. 😊
Hi. Yes you’re not supposed to use the mask on days you use Tretinoin. It increases photosensitivity esp when you just start. After a few months it’s ok to use but try to separate timing as long as u can. Then follow up with spf and moisturizer right after mask use.
I just got a Hooga pro series with the stand. My skin is literally changing within a three day period. I have a rosey glow and my brown patches seem to be fading! I am hooked now!
can you please fully explain how to avoid eye damage 100%? so many people do not use protection but some already report about side effects for the eye! it would be really helpful. thank you!
I use the iRESTORE helmet. The one with the middle price. I waited until black Friday week to get the best deal. Also people are having a very positive response to the growth serum from iRESTORE.
all this light therapy is confusing lol! maybe I am the only one who thinks about this, but could these devices cause mental health problems? my son received light & chromatherapy many years ago & uses the happy lite uv lamp as prescribed for depression. I, on the other hand, was told to avoid exposure to it, since i have a history of bipolar - no manic eps in 10 yrs so not sure why I can't have a new diagnosis - and they think it might be capable of triggering mania. from what youve seen and know about the light used, is there any predictable chance that standard skincare light devices could trigger a mental health episode? I am hoping this makes sense, I know you aren't a psych MD, but am hoping these are all fairly well known treatments. I imagine you see a lot of folks with both skincare-related and completely separate mental health issues, wondering if this has come up.
Red light is IR (infrared) light, not UV (ultraviolet) light. They are completely different and on the complete opposite sides of the visible light spectrum. UV wavelengths are between 100-400 nanometers whereas IR wavelengths are 780 nanometers to 1 millimeter. Their effects are not at all the same.
Not if you want one that actually has the light waves that penetrate deeply enough into the skin to actually be effective. I’m saving up for the omnilux mask as it is a more reputable brand recommended by Dr dray.
Okay but where can we get it at a reasonable price instead of the overinflated because of high demand (with enough supply, smh). I’m about to get the red Christmas tree lights and glue them to a cardboard mask at a Hobby store. 😂😂😂
I just ordered a mask for $50 (plus $50 shipping) that is getting dropshipped for $600. Honestly any product over $200, you should see if its being dropshipped.
My lightbulbs are color changing LED lights and when i go to sleep i turn them to red. They help me fall asleep, but do they have any other benefits or do i need the special red light mask for that? 🤔
Those red light led devices are they the same as the infra red lamps that are used to heal colds? I mean, does my infra red lamp have the same effect for my skin?
It completely works!!! You have to do it correctly and therapeutically to see results. I use a NIR bulb rather than an LED panel. Twenty minutes a session- three times a week. I can definitely see the difference in my skin after six months of use! Try it! Make you use eye protection!
They say masks are not worth it, the panel is better because the intensity and light reach is more effective than the mask directly on your face. Doctor Ray also mentioned that people with rosacea should be careful with the surface touching their skin possibly causing irritarion...
I saw a beautician the other day and she told me I was using my LED face mask wrong (the Dennis Gross one). She told me that I can't use the blue and red LED on the same night? I used to do the red LED and 5 minutes later do the blue LED, sometimes I even used the session that had them both in one. She said the red LED counteracts the affects of the blue LED and that they should be performed 48 hours apart, is this true?
RESTORE has a new mask out. A little on the pricey side I must say but did notice you can do blue and red together with their mask but interesting you mention that. Thanks!
Let's also talk about the other benefits that have been studied and published. It also helps to improve eyesight, helps to improve dementia and cognition, helps to regulate diabetes, and is showing to do a lot more than just be a benefit to the skin and muscle regeneration. It does something magical to the mitochondria, being that it is a natural light frequency that nature has created during sunrise and sunset that is beneficial for humans. Indians knew this this is why they recommend meditating during sunrise and sunset looking towards the Sun. So much is being correlated between ancient knowledge and current science. After doing sessions for the last few days, I have been sleeping deeper than ever. It's been shown to help improve sleep cycles and melatonin production as well.
@@gabbygabbygirl- @gabbygabbygirl - I stay in South Africa. I ordered mine from a company called Wish. They supply world wide. The one I've got, is either Japan or China make. Wish sells them for different suppliers. Mine is called RF Hot Maggie Infrared Beauty. I would say any infra red light for skin works. Definitely worth it! Takes a few mnths to see a difference, but it certainly works!
@@hypermercedes4305 (Must be a secret.) Why wouldn't someone share the name of the device if they've had success with it? Dr. Dray's picture is now on the Omnilux brand face mask which is a good quality mask, but overpriced, as the technology is fairly inexpensive. Look at the prices on Alibaba etc. They're incredibly cheap to make.
Very few reviews of Theraface, a product that interests me for its multifunctional design. Even if this technology seems to bring benefits, influencers only talk about the products for which they are sponsored.
I’ve had a 12x12 red light therapy light for about 4 years. I use it primarily for muscle injuries from teaching yoga but this is a good reminder for me to break it out and give my face a treatment. BE SURE TO USE EYE SHIELDS not sunglasses for eye protection! The light can damage your eyes!
I thought that only specific wavelengths of red light do that and that those are the ones you need to use eye protection with. So basically any led mask that is sold without eye pretecting goggles is bs. No?
Not in the same way as UV damage might, they don’t do UV. No way to know the long term effects for a few years yet. Likely to be safe, the FDA has approved certain photo bio modulation devices if I remember correctly.
Hi dr dray , I just bought the omulix mask and been using iit for a week My under eye wrinkles are getting worse? Should i discontinue? Please respond ❤❤
I have been using foreo ufo 2 and I would often use custom mode for just one led light (red and blue one) and I have noticed that my skin doesn't look tired anymore, but really refreshed.. Interesting fact about using red light for hair los 🤔
Does red light therapy masks also work for people with lupus? In de ad some old studies on it. Would the face mask be sufficient or panels for the whole body.
It works for my energy levels! I have hereditary spherocytosis so i'm quite tired naturally. I feel refreshed and more bright after using it. I got it to see if it works with my jaundice (no results so far) but i just got it. I also place it on my back and belly to boost my organs.
