I'm so glad someone sat down and actually broke down their discography cause it's massive and varied and I totally agree Rookie is the most Red Velvet album (also my favorite cause it has like the best concept/storytelling)
I realise almost their titles are Red or Red-Velvet songs, i think only be natural, automatic, ootn, peekaboo, bad boy, rbb, psycho are purely Velvet songs
Also, for the Red to Velvet album rankings, I wonder if people considered all Day 1 and Day 2 songs (16 something) for RVF Finale? Cause in my opinion it should just be Psycho In & Out Remember Forever La Rouge Like how it is in Apple Music. And in that case, it should be one of their most Velvet albums.
In the survey, I actually combined all of the 16 songs into the trilogy. Participants ONLY evaluate the track, not the album. As for the album ranking, I processed it by calculating the total average of said album and compare it with the other album’s total average. The reasons why I decided to combine the trilogy into 1 is bcs finale only have 3 bside, and it’ll skew out the result if we also compared it to another full album that has >7 8 songs😊
@@RaViuza I seee. Thank you for the clarification. I'm glad you averaged the tracks for the albums, then! Cause you're right, if you asked people about the album, they'll probably only think about the title track. The reason I singled out RVF Finale, though, is because - RVF Day 1 was clearly designed to be a mix of Red and Velvet - RVF Day 2 was clearly designed to be pure Red. - RVF Finale was clearly designed to be pure Velvet. I think fusing all three into one kinda defeats their whole point, in my opinion. I think they should have been separated. But Perfect Velvet being combined with The Perfect Red Velvet, I totally agree with. 😇 Well done on this, btw! This was so fun! Thank you for making this!
@@franhound “Day 1 was clearly designed to be a mix Red and Velvet, Day 2 was clearly designed to be pure Red” The thing is, both of those statements were not supported by the data😅. Day 1 was actually “redder” than Day 2. Another reasons why I tried to combined the trilogy is to get rid of “confirmation bias” that has been circulating around luvies. Last one, the Finale Album, both in the physical one and in the spotify included the tracks from day 1 and day 2. Hence, just calculating the Finale album as a whole trilogy seems more reasonable for me. Btw thanks for the input! If I make this for another time, I’ll make sure to put the disclaimer on why I decided to combine the trilogy into 1 instead of 3😁
@@RaViuza Ooh. That’s interesting. Thanks for bringing that up. I find that honestly surprising. Maybe Day 1 is redder in terms of “it has more songs that people consider to be red.” But I still think Day 2 is redder. That is because: Day 2 has Umpah Umpah, Carpool, Love Is the Way and Ladies Night. All four of those are as red as The Red Summer and Summer Magic in my opinion. All 90% to 100% Red. Literally the only Velvet song in it is Eyes Locked, Hands Locked. Meanwhile Day 1, in my opinion, only has one 90%+ clear Red, and that is Milkshake. Parade and Bing Bing might be Red, I guess. But I’d give them Maybe 60% to 70% Red. And Sunny Side Up! and LP are straight up just Velvet in my ears. And Zimzalabim might be chaotic enough to not fit in either of those two. Maybe we just all have differing definitions on the two concepts, huh. Haha. Camp 1 is: Red is fast, Velvet is slow. Red is energetic, Velvet is quiet. Camp 2 is: Red is bright and happy, Velvet is serious and mature. Camp 2 is why people are so split between Candy, I think. It’s slow and ballad-ish like Velvet, but it’s positive and sweet, like Red. Thanks for the insight, btw! Sorry for the long replies. As you can see, I just really enjoy conversations like this. Especially about my favorite girl group ever, or straight up my most favorite artists ever! And I don’t have many ReVeluv friends to have this conversation with. So thank you for your time. ^^
@@franhound No problem! If you wanna see the full list of the discography, from most red to most velvet, you can open the drive link I’ve provided in the description box hehe. You know it’s really interesting to compare our perceived concepts of Red/Velvet with other luvies😁
@@JamieBu77 my laptop died out right before I started to edit the japanese discography🥲. You could see the full list (including the japanese one) on my pinned X @RaViuza !!
