In the countdown live they said "BYE BYE" is a break up song and that the decending "byyyye" was a very confusing melody for them to sing. But they repeatedly hounded it home as a break up song, telling reveluv "if your going to break up sing this" 😆 The album is 100000% a NO-SKIP album. So happy to have them back!

When Wendy speaks in English, she sounds like a hockey bro from Oshawa, ON. Very ambiguous connection, but I can't unhear it.

“On A Ride” and “ZOOM” are definitely my favorites! I didn’t fully know what to expect going in, but none of the songs disappointed.

Zoom is giving me Growl vibes by EXO, Wendy flexin her vocals as always.

this is truly a no skip album for me. starting with crazy birthday track, then a bittersweet bye bye with amazing instrumental and production going to on a ride which is a very fun song with great irene vocals at the end, then the queen of the album zoom with mind blowing vocals from wendy, old red velvet style great rap verses from joy/irene/yeri and closing the birthday festival with celebrate, a very beautiful, sad and touching song. i think each member shined on this album on certain songs, but yes, i absolutely agree with you that sm NEEDS to give wendy a full album of songs where she just destroys the recording studio with the power of her vocals

Oh gosh yes, like I don't care about them doing the Reve Festival concept but the album naming convention makes it SO CONFUSING. But yes, with Red Velvet you never know what you're going to get (except good music) so not every song may be your favorite... I feel like that is a price worth paying for the wide range of great quality music and always being inventive.

YESSSS THAT’S IT! the descending melody is where the haunted carnival vibes really kick in. i couldn’t articulate it before. i feel like that carnival, carousel, fair vibe is carried throughout the album. really going with the velvets being a in a travelling circus that visits your town and wreaks chaos.

My favorite in this album is Zoom > Bye Bye > Celebrate. After RVV Concert Zoom is really growing for me. This channel record the performance from their concert in Seoul well. Many B-Side from the last 3 mini-albums were in this concert. i also absolutely love the lyrics to Zoom! Zooming through past moments like you have superhuman memory and then "stop in front of a suspicious scene", "step forward (into the memory!)", "dig up evidence" etc. The imagery was there even without knowing Korean... As a linguistics student/nerd I really like taking songs apart and translating them word by word to learn and I have been meaning to do this for Zoom :))) anyway gonna close this out by saying i am so gay for wendy

I was also thinking, I'd like to suggest an idea of making a top songs type of video(s) in the future? things like your top 10 from the month, top mvs, top 50 songs from the year etc... something of that sorts. totally optional! but I think it's fun to see which songs you went back to and vibed with the most by the end of the year, as sometimes songs you don't think are your favourite from an album after initial listen can randomly become your absolute obsessions, so I think it would be fun to see which songs stuck to you the most. either way, I'll definitely continue tuning into your videos, thanks again! can't wait for the next one

at first listen i was a bit disappointed by the verses and the bridge, bc i loved the pre chorus and the chorus, but as i kept listening, the song really grew on me. however, i must say that i wish we had a strong vocal bridge or at least more beltings/runs/ad-libs at the last chorus, just bc i loved rv's bridges and vocals in general, so i'm not completely sold on this only instrumental type of bridge 🥲💟

I really like Birthday, Zoom, Bye Bye, and Celebrate is fine (it sounds like an OST). I agree with you Sir Austin, and I just cannot stand On A Ride, I have tried SO hard to like it, but just no (this is the first RV song I have EVER not liked). Reve Festival 2022 is my no skip album and Wildside/FMR are the dual winners for the Title Tracks of 2022. Birthday is great but FMR/Wildside are S Tier epics. I cannot wait for the next comeback, RV never disappoints.
