While watching this, I'm slowly realizing that the game is using psychology to portray the Germans negatively. Slowly, step by step they increase it through the game. They catch you off guard by portraying them favorably in the beginning of the game.
@@Kvs-vf9nt That was a joke. But I'm curious how it would work, in a game fighting for Germany in WW2 would you be predetermined to lose or would you create an alternative history?
@@charles2521 Well for example the game can take place from the invasion off Holland and Belgium to France. And yeah something in between like Stalingrad but we survive or something and just at the end we play a defense off Berlin sort off thing. And offcourse we lose but not afther killing a lot off other soldiers. Do you playn HOI4? It's a paradox game. You can literally conquer whole off Europe. It's also one off the easiest to start off with as Germany. And it's historically accurate. Like you get Austria in the year .... (don't know anymore) and then you have to defeat Poland and from there you decide. Just see that you research the right stuff and when you conquer harbor territory put some soldiers there. You also have to buy resources off other country's like gas for your tanks. It's a fun game. But like I said I want a shooter and play as a Wehrmacht Lieutenant or so. Or someone from the Gestapo. I think there are lots off possibilities.
The gunplay in this game on MP felt so clean, using the PPSh-41 with the drum mag to clear rooms is one of the most satisfying things a man can do in a video game in his lifetime
This game came out in 2011, and it 2022. A full decade has passed and there is a still a good player base to be played. It never had any pandering to anything, it just functions as a game, and it serves it’s purpose to paint picture of what might it really felt to be a soldier during Operation Barbarossa. In my book, 10/10 game for gameplay.
Because of this video i re-installed RO2 just to feel nostalgia and man the MG42s are cancer. But still amazing video and this game is underrated as hell.
It's depressing actually if you know what happened, the very last sentences there sound like they were taken from an actual diary or letter of a German soldier. From their perspective the battle of Stalingrad was already won but it would last another year and they wouldn't get rotated out unless they were very sick, most of the soldiers died there or in POW camps and never got to see their homes and families again.
This is the game that I credit for really getting me into history. Stalingrad is an incredible setting for a game and this game nailed that setting better than any game or movie ever and I stand by that opinion.
@@stahl_panzer9575 there's no risk, sure it makes commies mad but there's nothing even controversial about this video let alone anything that goes against youtube policies
@@AFGuidesHD for now, shirako got banned brifly for dragging a communist and feeding it to the alligators in rdr2. So in the future the sjws will go crazy. Could you imagine the venom and seething in twitter and games journalism...which are the same thing, i repeat myself.... if this game came out today? DAAAAAMN. Also since you do xbox games now can you do ghost recon 2, all the playthroughs of that game suck.
@@michaelalvarado3139 it's not even that bad. It's as bad as any local game against bots, which are still included in the game. Steam also has a singleplayer install for this game, so removing this mode is just pure nonsense against the consumer
The bot in RO2 is horrible, it's either u gonna get headshotted right when you get in their 60m aimbot+Killzone or the bot somehow goes i forgot what my purpose is...which is why MP is million time better
This game isnt demonising german soldiers they where just listening to ideology of their leaders.. How bad communism was if they came as liberators i think they could have achieved much more.
Completely agree. Its sad to think the amount good the Heer could have accomplished if they weren't commanded and handicapped by a insane high command and SS.
Thing is they make the German soldiers believe they coming as a liberator force, they discovered the truth first hand, but what they could do? They were just soldiers, not officers of the high-command
The only problem with it is that it lacks a lot of action. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome, but the maps are strangely empty of the intensity and brutality the real battle was fought with. It’s the same problem in every game like this, it’s just way too peaceful most of the time.
It's not like an action movie irl all the time. A lot of this fighting was more spread out than you think. Yes the scale overall was huge but what we'd think in our minds of a clashing battle irl looks more like squad skirmishes irl. Something certain games and movies have gotten us used to. I do suppose there's some maps that could use a little more filling though. Fighting house to house and street to street though, from war footage I've seen, this game seems to get something about it kind of right that other games dont especially live multiplayer. I wish the AI didn't run around as randomly tho
The graphic looks nice, but the AI is a lil bit smarter than battlefield 1942's bots, really. That is the worst side of the game. But, despite that, the game looks nice UPD: I tried it, and I fucking HATE this game soo much. The AI is too stupid
Games need to made with identity now like how they were. No new groundbreaking fps games to name recently. Squad and hell let loose do help. Still singleplayer is thrown away
Man i don't like the voice of the german soldier it's like 15yo screaming i would really prefer cod1-2 Germans voice but near the end the voice changes wierd
Someone help me how to install the Red orchestra 2 game Heroes of Stalingrad from the single player I bought the package RO2 with Rising Storm - RO 2 Digital Deluxe Edition on Steam but I can't download RO2
