Just so everyone knows, they're trained to do this (unlike the crafty crow who appears at 4:17 hoping to steal some scraps at feeding time). They've been trained to stand when they see that trainer or see him with the apples, and probably also trained to hang on his leg, making it look like they're trying desperately to get the apple. Their natural diet is mostly bamboo. They're fighting so often likely because in addition to the stress of living in captivity and being on display, adult red pandas live in solitude not groups, and they live up in the trees, not on a few branches on the snowy ground. The video is very cute and charming but don't mistake it for what it really is: an endangered species held captive in a zoo displaying unnatural behavior.

JUST because most of the people aren't familiar with the language, they were totally occupied by what was going on the ground; that particular poor one wasn't having a good time, gets even furious at times for not getting the apple. Can't blame the guy though; he might had been concentrating on giving information to the people and didn't know that his apple-giving behaviour was tiring up a lovely cute Red Panda.

WARNING: This zookeepers treatment of the Red Pandas is disrespectful and abusive. He shoves snow in the face of one and picks 2 up by their tails. I made the mistake of watching this with my 8 year old red panda-loving kid and it was very upsetting. This guy should be fired.
