your question is old but I thought I'd answer it anyway. that clutch assembly does not switch the gears in a 2 spd system. it's just a different clutch design for the motor. there is separatete clutch system to switch gears in a 2 spd car. works slightly different by centrifugal force forcing the clutch shoes out. which is adjustable usually via a screw on each shoe

Hi Michael, I have just bought serpent 747 nitro. I have a problem w/ the clutch assembly, gear is not engaging even in WOT. I leave .5mm space in spring not & the gear spin freely during manual test but doesnt engage when engine is ON, I have dout that the stock spring is too hard. Please help solve the issue, thanks.

@kyoshoevolva1 most 1/8 clutch bearing is 5x10x4mm. Make sure it says "clutch" bearing. I use Acer for my Evolva M3

Hey micheal I have an rex rer5 .12 with the Mugen centax clutch looking at video the set up was a little different the spring washer was on top not bottom I put it in but now have a little play but not as much but the bell still speens freely what happens when it's a little or no play from bell to the shoe. Mtx4r rex

I can do what he did but I don't understand how one adjustment doesn't affect the other: anyway the video was very helpful I'll just follow it step by step

I just don't get it may I'm just stupid how does outing a shim before the bearing not change the clutch gap and why adjust the clutch gap with out the bearing I need some some more detailed info I tried setting up my clutch on nova .12 and the fly wheel came loose I took it to my hobby shop for them to do it I want to be able to do it myself I get frustrated when I don't understand how it's done and why I understand how the push clutch work but the gap adjustment and why I'm lost

I assembled two kits no problem but when I bought Rossi engine I just don't understand how to setup the clutch properly I know Salven knows what he's doing but this has caused me to lose interest in this hobby I wanted to be a racer so badly the hobby shop and racing club in my area don't help new comers just frustrating
