Early September hike along the Auxier Ridge to Courthouse to Double Arch. This is a 7 mile loop with stunning overlooks, rock formations, and an Arch. This was my first hike in the Gorge and it was everything I could have hoped for! Don't miss this hike!

Lovely video; thanks for posting it. I just did the same hike yesterday, but I went clockwise from the trailhead because I thought my Australian Shepherd would be more likely to go up the open tread metal steps. I was so wrong. Took me 30 minutes to coax (and ultimately carry) him up them. So glad you enjoyed your hike. It’s a truly magical place.

I would agree that hiking the ridge first is probably easier. I went the opposite direction going to double arch then up to courthouse. The climb to courthouse is epic but I think the tradeoff of having the ridge views on the way back to the trailhead out weighs the slog it would be through the creekside bushwhack and along the service road on the return trip. Those views gave me a second wind and I felt rewarded. Either way this is a really diverse hike with some fantastic views.
