1,000% Agreement...EVERY, as in ALL, Division Leaders and Wild Card Contenders have been swept this year in various series - ALL of THEM - so, in a 5 or 7 games Playoff series any team that is in Playoffs can legitimately go all the way - This Year especially, when no teams are even @ .600 Winning %, so ALL Teams are vulnerable
Leave too many men on base. This game should not even been this close. No clutch hitting at all. Devers reminds me of Wade Biggs. If Redsox are up by 10 runs or down 10 runs in the 9th inning, there isn't a better hitter in baseball. But let there be a game changing hit that could tie the game or put the Redsox in the lead and Devers couldn't hit a hog in the ass with a base fiddle. He's a strikeout machine
Stats say otherwise. He hits well in all situations. In fact, he's one of the best hitters in the game. Even the best hitters make outs 7 out of 10 times.
@@forgottenpath5919 well the eyes tell me something different than the stats. These prime time games he just doesn't seem to show up in big situations.
@@kellyfarmer3267 I hear you. Believe me. The stars get greater scrutiny and deservedly so. But as long as the numbers are there at the end of the season, it's cool.
It's crazy time to be a Red Sox fan but I wish John Henry would allow for Craig to improve our rotation and bullpen our starters don't go into deep innings and our bullpen can't maintain a lead these will be crucial reasons why it will be a hit and miss for us to make the playoffs
Look at it this way, the BP has been so bad, excepting Jansen, that it is highly probable from a statistical perspective that they perform much better from here
I am REALLY hoping we do get to WS this Year and play METS, so that we can vanquish 1986. We beat the NYY and STL in 2004 to vanquish those ghosts - METS and Red Sox are VERY similar teams this year - powerful bats with suspect pitching and two really good managers
NYY not only lost, but gave up 6 Runs in 12th @ Home to lose....!!! They used 9 PITCHERS...!!! Gnashing of teeth and pulling out hair ensuing on NYC sports talk radio this morning - Tired old NYY "fans" refrain..."FIRE BOONE, FIRE CASHMAN & FORCE HAL STEINBRENNER TO SELL TEAM"... >> - despite NYY being +20 Games over .500...!! LOL - It is really hilarious
I really am not liking Raffy's setup in the box. His front foot is SO far out that his head is moving all over on the load up. He strikes out so much more than previous years it seems. Power sure, but he's too good of a hitter to be striking out this much and hitting low average
I think you are just not very smart. Hes batting .298 (not a low average), with a .966 OPS (6th in all of baseball lol)... He's striking out 3% more often this year sure, but is also up 2% in walk rate.
Reminds me of when I tried to teach Shaquille O'Neal to become a better free throw shooter by keeping his guide hand on the ball through release instead of taking it off midway through and effectively shooting foul shots one-handed...Sadly, Shaq never got my text or voicemail and shot under 50% from the line for his career...Perhaps Raffy Devers will read your suggestion here though, or you could try to call him....??
You’re a professional making millions of dollars to play a game. You can’t say a slur on live TV. It’s really simple. Those two games aren’t going to matter in the long run.
Was not a smart thing to yell, even though gay folks use the "F" slur to each other quite often, but I hope Jaren's sensitivity training went well to avoid uttering two "F" words in the same sentence
