The Dance of the Vampires Part 2 DCS Mission Demo (formerly mission 4)
Mission Briefing:
More aircraft are required to support NATO’s air mission in the ETO (European Theater of Operations). Your mission is to ferry 4 F15Cs across the Atlantic Ocean. Waypoints are pre-set so just sit back, hit the autopilot and have a relaxing flight.
Your callsign will be Gulf 49.
Be careful, the Navy is anticipating a strike against their carrier group. You should be well north of them but keep your eyes open. Aerial Refueling can be called upon if required but that shouldn’t be necessary unless something malfunctions
Aerial Refueling: Acro 1-1 TACAN 11X and Freq 251
Mission Time: 20-30 Mins

These DCS animations are amazing, the narrator voice is boring but the video is superb. However there are a few discrepancies: The Soviet Bombers depicted here are not Badgers, they are the Backfires TU-22. The "Badgers" which are the Tupolev 16 and are subsonic fixed swept wing and have the main landing gear pods on the wings, wing root mounted engines and high mounted tail stabilizers. But the bombers in the video are Tupolev 22 with swing wings which are supersonic, swing wing, fuselage mounted engines like in jet fighters and stabilizers inline with the wings. I am a bit puzzled on the internal view of a supposedly F15, At 9:00 in the video, the cockpit shows a view of an F-18 cockpit marked by the IFF antennas which are nicknamed bird slicers for obvious reasons. The view inside of the cockpit as it pans to the right and then left shows Soviet insignias on the wings marked with the red star with white border at 19:02, also appear to be the wings of an F18 (perhaps from the aggressor squadron?) The leading wing slats are those of an F18. At 19:06 the vertical stabilizer on the port side looks like the canted stabilizer for an F18. The F15 Vertical stabilizers are at 90 degrees to the fuselage and have the Rear Warning Receivers mounted on the tip of the stabilizers. To a lesser degree, all the rear view mirrors are folded in on the frame of the canopy, this is a no no in air combat. You cannot dogfight without being able to check your six. Nevertheless great animation. Keep them coming.

Keen eye! Thank you for taking the time to comment. The short response is that the base game only has limited aircraft for me to choose from and I built the missions for people to fly in DCS with an F/A-18. I am going to clean up how I edit the videos for better sound and smoother visuals for those who are enjoying the videos outside of just a demonstration of how to fly the mission.

Just small point. They are in the middle of the Atlantic. There is absolutely no way any Soviet fighters could be within a thousand miles. No need to check six, because a Backfire does not have the ability to dogfight an F-14.
