@@mami11420 yeah it was confusing at first. but if you hear all of their songs you can sense the vibes of other genre and concepts they made in past. its kinda similar to girls generation I got a boy.

and actually they had this song way back in 2016. it was a contender for the title track but they choose russian roulette over zimzalabim because SM thinks it wasnt the time back then and 2019 is the best time to release zimzalabim. that means they really have so many music that are stored. and this is only Day 1 of the Reve festival. Irene said there will be Day 2 and a Finale. so that's 3 comebacks in this year.

The song seeming like so many different genres I feel like is the way a lot of SM songs are. NCT and f(x) in my opinion have the most 'experimental' sounding songs under SM. But if I were to hear a song like this without knowing who it was specifically in kpop I'd be like, "okay, this is an SM group!" This actually sounds like it was supposed to be an f(x) song, which I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be true.

You get different genres because you see all their old music combined in this one music video! I see Dumb Dumb to Bad Boy to Hit That Drum to Rookie to Peek-A-Boo etc.. That's why you get a piece of different styles with just this one song.
