It was meant to be creepy. They have a collection of shirts of all the past delivery boys. They purposefully practiced missing the shot for dramatic effect when the time came to "shoot him".They planned on him escaping just to get him in the end at the payphone. It was a twisted concept that I loved. Also, peep the missing person photos on the side of the payphone too.

I believe the music video draws inspiration from the stereotypical a horror - survival video game, I can't remember the name but that's where the storyline comes from and that's why in multiple parts of the MV you have the members either trying to kill the pizza guy, or trying to save him *as in the game where you switch players

The concept and storyline of the video was that Red Velvet was trying to kill the pizza guy. They attempt (succeed) to kill them on every full moon. In the video, Red Velvet practice by using crossbows, knifes, axes (you name it!!!) to prepare for the full moon. They order pizza at first to know who they are, then order again some more and get the boys inside the house and seduce them (like when Joy’s on the table and their cult walking around her, they purposely do it so he can see them) to think they are fun to be with. They do fun things (like that little peek-a-boo scene) to try to get the boys to avoid attention to the cases (the other pizza boy shirts) and weapon rooms. Things start to get weird of course, with the jello game and the members sneak off. One of the members say, “Come with me I’ll save you”, but that’s a complete lie to get the routine going (as you saw in the scene as he escaped, you see each member escape with him (this is a routine they do with each boy)). The girls’ (Yeri) aim at the pizza guy to kill him, but misses (this is on purpose as another routine). As the pizza guy “escapes” one of the girls’ (which is Irene in the MV (even though each member does this)) is in the car and you see a poster that says 28 missing pizza boys on the side of the phone. Irene steps out and finishes him off (this is another routine they do (each girl kills him as he “escapes”, but this time while he tries to call for help, but the phone doesn’t work)). Hope this helps for understanding!!!☺️

If you rewatch the video, a different girl rescues the guy each time, meaning they set up so that a different girl "pretends" to help the guy escape the house during each Full Moon, with one of the girls shooting him as he was escaping. The girl who rescues the pizza guy would double-cross him later and kills him.

Y'know I'm think I'm starting to connect the dots in RV music vids bc in Peekaboo it's really happy and upbeat even though chaos is happening. Same with Psycho. They say everything is fine with such certainty not wanting to accept that they're psychotic and evil. Or maybe they think they're okay bc they're stuck in a loop/ cycle of dangerous behavior. Like in Psycho, I can't remember which one, but one of the member's eyes were blue in the beginning and towards the end they turned brown. I think this signifies that she finally, and is the only one, who knows the truth. Yet she dances and has fun with the other members at the near of the mv like everything is okay and doesn't tell anyone the truth. Hence the lyrics, "it's okay". So maybe she might be the ring leader in all of this trauma. I honestly don't know tbh but I live trying to piece together mvs like this.

The girls were basically luring the pizza guy to their house cuz they are serial killers. When they are running down the hall way you see a bunch of display cases that have different colors of delivery boy shirts. They have already killed and was basically looking for their next victim. That’s why they kept ordering pizza and they finally got him to go inside the house. The dude was a bit creeped out, but hey they’re gorgeous girls why not keep them company. The part when all girls seem to be trying to escape with him was basically the whole..the predator playing around it’s prey..by making it think they have a chance to escape, but in the end kills them. Also, when the delivery guy is at the phone booth. You see the poster full of pictures of l20+ missing delivery guys. It is a creepy concept, but it does kind of relate to the lyrics of the song. Love is a game of peek-a-boo sometimes..it can be dangerous and sometimes it’s not. But sometimes you get caught up in the lure of romance and or the flirting part of the relationship.
