This song just feels like quintessential Red Velvet, a hybrid of their bright red sound and their chill smooth velvet sound and it’s such an easy listen
I loved this concept so much! From their insta promo it looks like they run like a magical vintage store of lost items, so it starts with someone losing their AirPod haha. Each of them have their roles in the store, we see Irene managing the items and observing the lost AirPod, and Yeri being trained in her witchy powers and receiving her wand at the end (so adorable). And also, I interpret the beginning to be us coming into the store because we feel lost, and rv showing us how to find ourselves through self acceptance and believing that the world supports our dreams!! 😭😭😭
This song does sound chill but. this song is denser than Psycho. The chord, addlibs, playfull note, dynamite, & the last magicap wendy highnote show us how much she is flexibel range. 🔥
This single and album sound like a Triumph of Red Velvets return, Proof that you can't stop these girls. Wendy's vocal adlibs at the end are angelic and send shivers down my spine, Red Velvet is eternal!!!
The girls look A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Serving visuals, vocals, rap and choreography. The song is really catchy and it kinda gives me Sabrina the Witch vibes with all the magic and the cat. Also, in the MV we can see the older members {Irene, Wendy, Joy and Seulgi} teaching Yeri how to levitate objects. At the end of the MV, Yeri gets her wand. So cute.
The Queendom is the Queen's Mystic General Store (from the teaser) which is ruled by four witches. Hence, explaining their ability to turn into a cat, except Yeri. Irene is the Distribution Director of the store. Seulgi is the Lost and Found Carrier. Wendy is the Postmistress. Joy is the Delivery Driver. On the other hand, Yeri is a Trainee Witch. Which as you can see was trained by the four members. She then received her wand in the latter part of the M/V.
I still can't grasp the fact that we actually finally can listen to new red velvet music This album is so good, it's just so... red velvet, all six songs are BOPS I'm just beyond happy they're back
They are witches that deliver goods from their Queens Mystic General Store. Wendy is the postmistress (postman). Yeri was a trainee witch who also got promoted as a regular witch in the delivery company (the scene where she finally got her own wand).
If u are new subscriber to her cause 1. She deserves it 2. She won't disappoint you 3. She gives you kpop updates lol 4. Her reactions are so damn cute
I think this is the first ever (like ever) title track wherein they don’t sing the chorus together. Correct me if I’m wrong please, do they have previous title tracks wherein they didn’t sing together in the chorus. That’s why this song was very fresh and unique for me because it’s structured very differently.
@@seanperalta2900 Russian roulette and umpah umpah: there were a few parts where there was solo singing. I agree it’s refreshing to hear and I think that’s why I keep getting drawn to it.
The song "QUEENDOM" is fantastic. RED VELVET is fantastic; they are continually bringing us new items, and the girls are quite pleasant. EVERYTHING IS “RED VELVET.”
it's not my fav track but it's 10/10 and glad they're back for me queendom is umpah umpah + ladies night? i might be wrong but other than that IT'S CATCHY AS HELL
QUEENS ARE FINALLY BACK😭I love everything about this. QUEENDOM got me right from the first listen, their album is holy freaking amazing. I realized while watching the MV i missed them so much 2020 seriously felt so Empty without them prompting as a group. I love them.
With this comeback, I'm just going to put this out there for my opinion: this is the greatest year of Kpop I've ever had the pleasure to witness. I've only been listening for 13 years and while, some songs in years past were excellent and taking nothing away from that; this whole year has been hitting every month with either older groups or new groups coming on. Obviously some things were delayed because of last year but this is a year we all deserve. Again, just my opinion.
Thanks for doing this reaction video, as I get the alert from your channel way before I get an alert from Red Velvet's channel. I just noticed that they all have odd coloured contact lenses [a la Twice's Chaeyoung].
Queens are back to take over the world !! This comeback is pure joy for me. The melody is stuck in my brain I can't help it, it's insane. Great reaction, keep up the good work !
Honestly the song is OK... out of RV comeback songs it's the least memorable for me. I think Pose would've been a stronger single choice from the album. Would've been a great chance for tik tok shenanigans. It's great to have them back either way
"Cause we are Queens and Kings", "We are Strong and Beautiful" "Spread Your Wings and Be Yourself" "Rainbow completed in all colors", these lines comfirms that this song isnt just empowerment for Girls and Boys but also an LGBT anthem 💓💓💓
I thought exactly that the first time I listened to it and I felt so seeing, so include into part of their fandom. There are a lot of groups that do songs that have LGBT+ messages in their lyrics, but normally those are b-sides. I love that Red Velvet openly included us in a title track. I love them so much, I cried my ass out writing this. 💖🏳️🌈
4:49 YAAAASSS 😍🔥 thats a good comment and yess its moree chill Joy said it right id someone do the trend Red Velevt come and Do It Better 🤟💖💛💙💚💜 7:10 yesss your right their were really things from old mv and the lyrics uff is one of their best title track lyrics 🤝
I think SM started to bring SMCU the Origin concept to Redvelvet with this comeback. If you've watched it you will know that Redvelvet is transcendental beings that are in communion (witch in this mv)
I don't know why nobody seems to see the reference to Kiki's Delivery Service. I know, Harry Potter is more well known and i thought of that as well, especially when Yeri gets her wand, but come on, they're a group of witches who run a post office!
You should watch their previous video of Queen archive you will have the some idea about the song and also Red Velvet role was Seulgi: lost and found mail carrier Wendy: postmistress Joy: delivery rider Irene: distribution director Yeri: trainee witch Also if you notice Irene's eyes has both diff. Color it is said that Irene was the cat
let's be honest ,we've been through a lot I just want to congratulate my fellow reveluvs for surviving the drought and i do not wish this to happen for any other fandom
Wierd fact: Red velvet ate the man who dropped the airpods. The part where they are in the Wonderland and you can see his skeleton on the back(like that one empty space filled eith sand) (But I dunno I just saw this fact from others so yeah...)
See how the wait for Reveluv is, after Red Velvet's hiatus for almost 2 years. Queendom's new album even exceeded expectations, after Wendy's injury, then the scandal involving Irene, and the other members' solo projects. Let's give great appreciation for the return of Red Velvet, our Queen. Keep streaming the MV and the song, let's give it a win on the music show as well for other achievements on the music chart and Red Velvet album ❤❤❤❤❤
Rather than Alice in Wonderland to me it feels more like Harry potter but produced by Disney, like... a cheerfull Hogwarts in summer there's also lot of HP references like Seulgi as King Cross station officer, Hagrid's motorcycle where Joy sit on it, Yeri with the wand (the design really resembles Harry's wand) and being a cat animagus, flying mails, FLYING CAR (well not really a car but u got the point), Wendy technically apparating on the earlier scene too...
Personally I really see this as a feminist song, it's really uplifting and fun. 2nd listen and I'm already screaming "Strong and beautiful" and "RAINBOW!!!"
My only question about the entire thing is WHY ARE THEY IN THE SEWER? That's the one thing that makes no sense to me at all. Otherwise, of course I love it!
Red Velvet is back, baby! Wow, it's SOOOO FUCKING GOOD to see and hear them again. The song doesn't go hard and honestly... It doesn't needed! The groove and the vocals made this song great.
