The demon thing is just false. Please don't spread that. It comes from Swedish word Simsalabim. The meaning is as you said, abracadabra. It has nothing to do with demons.

Sappy is definitely an underrated bop! One of my fave title tracks, and I also love the track Sayonara from the Sappy mini album, such a gorgeous song (where especially Joys voice shines!) Can't wait until you discover their b-sides x)

I stan red velvet in psycho era and i instantly fell in love with zimzalabim when i hear it for the first time than psycho (after few listens like it too). Zimzalabim was my first love in Red Velvet's songs. From the intro till last it was amazing for me.❣️
zimzalabim tends to grow on people so much the more they listen to it. i wasn't that crazy about the song except the bridge the first time i heard it, now i just think that the whole thing is a masterpiece.

The brass, ad libs, the funky sound, I really love that song! One of my fav 🎶 also I told u about Joy, I think this since here is kinda like a new era for her, like a reborn? From my perception, Joy start having more vocal leads / adlibs since here, it's not that she hadn't before, but it was just few parts? Maybe u might understand what I'm trying to say now that u have reacted to them in order and see like a difference in Joy's ad libs and high notes. About zimzalabim woaah it's weird but not in a bad way but I think that it's so red velvet? No one could pull off like them! Wendy is always interacting with the staff. You know: being considerate to them as human beings, reminding them they are important to RV too, and other silliness. I think she lost a game/bet with their stylist who dressed her up as a feather duster, and the whole debacle just never got released to the public.

This is AMAZING!” I think ALL Red Velvet views are too low IMO, when you consider the quality of the vocals, music, production, and VISUALS they should be through the roof. Idk if you're including it in the mvs but dont forget to check out *Milky Way* (it was a cover/remake, originally by THE BoA, and they did it as part of her 20th anniversary celebration)

The psycho and remember forever from the Reve festival finale are really amazing live performances to start with. Ladies night live from Vlive is great. Kingdom come and light me up from la rouge tour are 10/10 and Wendy's last love last performance in Japan is particularly beautiful but then again, for Wendy a fun video would be Wendy slaying live vocals for 10 minutes straight lol...
They always look fire in Japanese mv. Maybe it's the way they film it. Zimzalabim is my favourite track because of the experimental aspect. The song I didn't like at first was actually umpah umpah. Maybe I'm weird lol.
SAPPY is one of RV's best, and that's saying a lot for a group with such a stellar discography. And Zimzalabim was RV letting all the casual Kpop fans know in no uncertain terms just what an experimental and eclectic group they've always been. To anyone familiar with RV's B-sides, ZZB wasn't a surprise at all. The fact that Netizens were still fiercely debating it's merits 6 months later shows just what Red Velvet does right.
It’s not like it was their first experimental song title track, bside, whichever, I think it’s probably the unusual structure that people may have a problem with, or the repetition (which is pretty common so that would be strange) if they don’t like it their just missing out imo lol

Been waiting for ZZB. Least favorite of all RV's songs (easy guess why), but also the BEST BRIDGE by about four miles. And that's 6.4 km in Korea which is bigger! I confess to Pretty Bias against Park Sooyoung. My first impression of her was a bombshell that could stay on pitch okay I guess (they all wore rainbow in Peek-a-boo but only Joy is known as the girl in the rainbow dress, clothes just look different on her). But then she keeps doing THIS over and over again, while looking like that, and it's completely unfair to mere mortals. Watch a compilation of Joy getting/being angry and she'll be red-zoning for bias. (though she didn't go to North Korea so she can't be the one that accidentally shot Kim Jong Un, who I prognosticated in code as your final bias when you started RV)

I'm one of those that doesn't like Zimzalabim, even now after multiple listens. The bridge doesn't save it for me but I love how open Red Velvet are to trying new things. I want them to keep doing that.

Only Red Velvet can still look good while washing cars in the MV😂. Actually there is a quite popular saying in K-pop that Zimzalabim is for intellectuals only. Zimzalabim fanbase is extremely divided. Either people completely love it or completely hate it...lol except for the bridge because it is so good. Most people love that song because it's arrangement so weird in a very good way. There are not a lot of Kpop songs like that. Its very unique because it's very weird. It is hard to explain😂.
