great video ! i had a hard time beating this gym leader compared to the original gym leader Wallace in other words Wallace from the Pokémon ruby & sapphire games was harder than Juan from the Pokémon Emerald
I did with a Magneton, Get to at least Level 35 where it will learn Lock On. Use that move to bypass Double Team's Accuracy and go for Spark or Thunderbolt. While it may be neutral damage covering, Magneton has high special attack and it can tank Ice Beam. Leaving Water Pulse as the only move that can do anything to it.
Use Shedinja here because only one of Juan’s Pokémon can damage you, and it’s only Luvdisc using sweet kiss, which confuses Shedinja. All the others will be completely ineffective against shedinja, and while shedinja isn’t necessarily super effective, it does almost garuantee an easy victory so long as you either get rid of luvdisc or can defeat it before it can strike
Yeah I swept this whole gym with my Shedinja. But even with the big bad bug Kingdra is SO ANNOYING. It will spam Double Team and make itself impossible to hit, while shaking off your Toxic with Rest Chesto Berry. Only way to stop it from becoming unhittable is Confuse Ray, which even then is not guaranteed. And if you run out of PP before you kill it... GG kid
His Kingdra singlehandedly wiped half of my team but, fortunately i have a shedinja and he doesn't have any super effective moves so after a while of spamming screech and shadow ball (was physical in gen 3) I won phew
@@Higs8091 No, RSE can't trade with FRLG until you beat the Elite Four. So the only way you could have these Pokémon in Emerald at this point is by cheating
Yeah but a lot of the Pokémon that learned aerial ace were flyers or weak to ice so that ice beam was a nuisance. Prolly my least favorite gym ace. Bulky and higher leveled being gym 8 and annoying moves to boot as well, first gym as a kid I feel you couldn’t just bully your way through
I didn't that hard of a time against him. I decided to use a Magneton as part of my team and since it learns Lock On that can bypass Double Team and Magneton having a special attack that's high and also learning Thunder Wave help.
I hate that kingdra it was the hardest battle and funny thing the only grass type I had was Lombre and rest were Tarkoal and Blaziken both were useless they would faint with just one blow coz they were fire types 🤦🏻♂️
