We tried the harmonic tuner and could not see any difference, it changed the position of the groups, but there was not a definitive yes or no, I don't think the harmonic tuner works for Sub 12, it may work for FAC but not for me unfortunately. Thanks for watching.
This makes me think my 3 jaw is not good enough. Didn’t at first notice how long the probe was on that dial gauge so took a while to understand how you were getting it concentric full length. I guess if the barrel is long enough or the lathe is small enough, you can center the far end where it sticks out the spindle.
To be honest for 90% of barrels just putting it in a 3 jaw and working from that is good enough, this way just ensures that nothing can go wrong. Thanks for watching.
Cracking out the BSA barrel - thats almost cheating :-) I'll have to send you mine so I can at least compete with the Daystates which are running away with it at the moment. Great video - and very interesting for a hamfisted dremel merchant like myself.
Probably, you will have to make a new pellet probe though, I would suggest try polishing up both the barrel face and probe sealing surface first though as I had a rapid 7 .22 and had no blow past with the pellet probe. Thanks for watching.
Yeah the bolts have copper tips on them, although if the barrel has a particularly nice bluing job we add a piece of paper to give a little more protection. Thanks for watching. Thanks for watching.
