About:
Red, White & Royal Blue is a 2023 American romantic comedy film directed by Matthew Lopez in his feature film directorial debut, from a screenplay that he co-wrote with Ted Malawer. Based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Casey McQuiston, the film is about a love affair between the son of the president of the United States and a British prince, played by Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine respectively. Clifton Collins Jr., Sarah Shahi, Rachel Hilson, Stephen Fry, and Uma Thurman appear in supporting roles.
In 2019, Amazon Studios announced the film's development with Greg Berlanti as a producer. Lopez was announced as director and co-writer with Malawer in 2021. Casting announcements began in June 2022 with Zakhar Perez, Galitzine and Thurman announced to play their respective roles. The majority of the remaining cast was announced the following month. Filming took place in England between June and August 2022. Red, White & Royal Blue premiered at the BFI IMAX in London on July 22, 2023, and was released on Amazon Prime Video on August 11.

Another scenario would be the king passes, and Prince Henry becomes the heir due to his brother being sterile. That would throw their relationship a serious wrench to overcome

@@carlconway6230Wrong. She's a Queen Consort, not Queen Regnant, therefore has no right to rule in her own right. She could rule as Queen Regent if the King's heir was too young to rule however that's not the case here. You want an example look at how the late Queen Elizabeth II immediately became Queen Regnant on the death of her father. His wife took the title of Queen Mother until her death.

@@doyler78 The mother of Prince Phillip and Prince Henry is the heir. She is the only child of the king, and is therefore the first in line to the throne.
