It's ridiculous for Callen to blame cancel culture for his tanking podcast views when nobody is stopping him from pumping out episode after episode but people no longer care. Basically, he doesn't have the comedic talent to compete with other podcasters that have since come on to the scene so now he's trying to capitalize on being an accused rapist.
@@Widderic some segments I skip, sometimes it’s just on at work, or the background while I do other stuff, driving etc. You go through periods of watching it all the time because it’s so consuming, take a break for a while then get back into the consuming lol I’m scars club memeber and there’s still loads of paid episodes I haven’t worked through since my last break haha
Landau exposed the fact that Crowder demands full ownership of his employee’s specials. Callen had to give this special and all the proceeds to Crowder.
I'm gonna guess whatever contracts Crowder offered to Brewer and Di Paolo were less restrictive, but yeah I'm sure he's squeezing Callen for all he's worth and Callen has no leverage so he just takes whatever he can get.

I cant get over how sick Redbar's set up is!! The best lighting too! Like whoever set up everything in the studio understands cameras, and lighting, and generally has a great taste and eye!

Im so glad english comedian's dont do a 1000 podcast's a week. With us, a comedian tours an hour n half of brand new material then disappears for two years until they tour again with new material. Thats what a comedians job is, not podcast's all bloody day.
I know I'm biased being from Ireland but American stand up just doesn't do it for me (aside from Dave Chappelle) I find a lot of the guys covered by redbar can have funny moments when it's organic i.e a podcast but are not funny at all on stage. Then mind you our humour is different it's very highbrow lol. Joe Rogan needs to stop referring to himself as a comedian for example, I don't know anybody who likes his stand up.
@@EireannSpeaks Chappelle is great. Louis has written great stuff at times in his career. You might like some of the earlier guys like Hicks and Carlin. But comedy here in the US these days has fallen on dark times. Dumb jokes are being made for dumb people, and as you mentioned, whatever charm exists on their podcasts, often doesn’t translate. Yet those are the fans they fill the arenas with. A guy like Bert would barely have had a career in the 80s-90s but he’s somehow one of the biggest guys in “comedy” right now.
Can always count on us Americans to take something artistic and well crafted, and monetize it into some mass market garbage. After all we are #1… at ruining things.

Its not in showbiz, but they cancel people who legitimately challenge the power structure. I think most people in show business are compromised and they purposely elevate scummy people they can take out later.

Every few weeks I get a redbar video recommendation and I sometimes click it. I'd probably click more often if I knew where to find the videos, what the show is and like when to expect it. I like kill Tony, kill Tony is a comedy podcast that comes out on Mondays. I like the majority report, they're a news show and they go live on weekdays
