@@sneedsfeedandseed420 search the archives for joe matarese and scan through the episode summary, it will be mentioned. Something like joe grills pizza all night or something like that. I kinda want to hear it again now that im thinking about it, ill reply again if i find the exact episode before you do
It was valveta single slices. Its a classic American cheese style for a burger that melts very well. American cheese is the only cheese that goes on a burger. F
I feel like I got indoctrinated into a cult or something. It seemed ridiculous and absurd at first and then all of a sudden the world outside of it now seems that way.
He has tutorial video on how to cook spaghetti someone else reacted to...he somehow cooks spaghetti wrong as well. Puts oil in the water. Then after he put it in a colander he put salt and pepper on it. So strange
@@johnszczerba9979 I’m telling you these chefs don’t know how to cook normal food. It’s like asking Picasso to paint repaint your bedroom and him being clueless.
@@Iamnotcertain idk he's supposed to be this top chef guy with restraunts and stuff he talks shit about everyone's cooking and his burger honestly sucks ass .. I don't know anyone that would eat that bullshit mushroom egg bullshit
41:10 This is perfectly illustrated in the Parks and Rec episode where Ron and Chris have a burger-off. Chris and his fancy turkey burger get dominated by Ron just putting a patty on a bun and serving it... 😂
Gordon is doing gourmet things on a non-gourmet food. There is no "art" of the burger. And yes, oil is what causes that fire situation. Gordon over-oiled everything!
I just watched a kitchen nightmares where Ramsay shits on a delicious looking burger for being too tall. He looks regarded in it too, he keeps spinning the burger and almost taking a bite.
For those who don’t know there are two types of olive oil. Extra Virgin Olive oil is made to be way stronger in flavour so it’s just preference. The regular kind isn’t bad like that
He's right about it tasting better but it's a pain in the rear to clean all the components. If you want to be really thorough, you should honestly boil water and put all the grinder parts in the boiling water to ensure that every spot is sterilized. And in addition to that, many grinders recommend that you grease the components so there's no chance of rust building up. It's a pain in the ass.
Ramsey has always been famous for his old school, style, he trained and learn 80% of his tech in France, which shows in his cooking the rest and more importantly what made him a great chef he learnt from Marco Pier White and that was what made him such an amazing chef and leader when he was passionate and loved cooking, ever since he became a "celebrity" or "TV CHEF" he just is not the same person, and the amount of restaurants he has and all serving and using different tech he is just a jack of all old school trades and master of none. He has been making the same old school shit for over 20 years (fkn beef wellington are you serious!) and it hasn't gotten better over time its stayed the same and never deviates and not cause "if something works why change it" no no it is what makes his cooking boring and 80s grandad chef style. He amazes the none affiliated or the regular home cook that knows no better but real chefs working and experimenting with ever evolving tech and food are put to sleep by this scot and his lack of evolution in his cooking.
You're overthinking it. The problem with his content is that he's clearly doing all of this on the first attempt, because he knows he doesn't have to put any effort into it. He's spread himself too thin because he thinks he needs to be producing content nonstop. He's like a twitch streamer. They know they can't produce hours and hours of quality content a day so they throw on someone else's video and eat dinner while their audience watches.
Thank you! I've had this argument with so many. The food Gordon makes is dated dogshit, and everyone is all "oh I think he would know better than you". They don't get it. I actually like Gordon, I think he's funny as hell, that's why he's famous, insulting people aggressively to their face. It's awesome. His cooking stinks though. Tom Kerridge, there's a British guy that makes incredible food.
MPW is my idol. Gordon really lost a lot when he came off the line. He was at his best then and now his skills need some honing. I’m a fan of both but he’s not the same. It’s hard doing what we do for 25+ yrs. It’s mentally draining and takes a toll on everyone around you. I trained under a Ramsey trained chef and he was the hardest bust best chef to work for. FYI I’m really surprised Mike knows his stuff. Good for him. Wish he was in Florida, I’ll show him some nice food
Watching this again i noticed Mike did say its not American cheese while reading everyone's guesses in the chat. That's why everyone kept guessing more out there cheeses...mike messed up lol
"Redbar Watches Gordon Ramsay grill a tall burger ft. Sean Evans" I always see the titles and get intrigued but then I see hour and a half and I just laugh. lol. 😄 It's so ridiculous to even conceive talking about half the crap he does for as long as he does but he just does it anyway. lol. It's pretty hilarious.
I agree with mikes burger toppings for home cooking but if you go to a burger place and order anything other than the signature/#1 burger with no alterations, thats suspect
fat is one of the healthiest things you can consume. they used to cook mcdonalds french fries in beef tallow. Then some J started talking nonsense about how animal fat is bad for you. Then he convinced them to cook with 2 of the worst oils imaginable for the human body. Canola/Sunflower oil. dirt cheap and insanely bad for you. Literally every single chain restaurant/ fast food uses it. even moxies. You have to specifically ask for your steak to be cooked in butter if you dont want to eat perfectly good food thats been ruined by engine lubricant.
Redbar is the sickly kid in middle school that will only eat chicken tenders and french fries, and has to call his mom 3 times a year because of his tummy-ache.
That was lame. Meanwhile you eat regurgitated bird seed that feeds your brainwashed mind and need to sniff applesauce to get the confidence to comment such stupid comments
What makes a good burger is simplicity. Gordo always has to have some fancy pants add on. You are not curing cancer, you are making a hamburger. Maybe I will put a five pound mushroom cap on an otherwise good burger? throw away the mushroom from Mars and just make the f'riggin burger. And that extra dimensional bacon was a joke. I thought it was a gag at first when I saw what Gordon called bacon. well, the gag was on me I guess. Gordon wasn't proud of that burger, the beacon of embarrassment came through on his face a few times. Gordon should have never aired this and probably regrets it now.
You should see it his scrambled eggs recipe too. It's like snotty yellow barf. He says if you don't make it like him, you simply don't know how to make scrambled eggs.
You can tell whether it's an older or recent video based on the amount of white hair in Mike's beard. This one is older. The dude is going to look like a younger Santa by next year.
Yo but seriously I’m actually taking redbars advice on getting a meat grinder and freeze chuck meat 35 minutes for burgers and ground beef. Seems like the way to go.
Ya gotta get yourself some 93% sirloin. Skip the butter for sure, yuk! Maybe Gordon puts the butter in there to 'make space' in the burger, rather than just lightly packing it.
Jules had a lot of dissent this episode lol never heard her go against Mike so many times. Almost broke the 4th wall with that exposé about him using olive oil a lot.
Has Mike ever revealed what cheese he uses? Honestly, I still use cheddar. He said it was something common. Provlone maybe? But great masterclass. I love burger making. 20℅ fat is definitely best. Although I'll try and get a grinder.
Once you go to the grinder method you will never go back lol even better if you purchase local farm chuck. Think of how many different animals you could be eating when you purchase pre ground beef, could be hundreds of different cows. All that aside, its cheaper and tastier too.
