Steve-O seems oblivious to what's going on in internet land and he just has social media people that tell him stuff like "Your Friedland interview didn't go well and the internet has been saying some things, so we booked Friedland in for an interview and we want you to try patch that up before it damages our brand"

Steve-o is super insecure about how old and out of touch he is. He is so clueless he legitimately thinks reddit is 4chan. Reddit is one of the softest and most gentle and ban-heavy websites there ever was. But steve-o thinks it's like kiwifarms or something
Really depends on the subreddit more than anything but yeah there generally isn't anything too scathing around there. You can still speak more freely on Reddit than you can in a RU-vid comments section. The question of whether or not any comment you make here will show up at all is Russian Roulette

Steve-O even went to a doctor for a video on his channel, to get to the bottom of his stupid voice. The doctor said his voice can only be the result of deliberate muscle contractions. i.e. he at some point, for whatever weird reason, adopted that voice as an affectation, and now it's stuck like that.

The truth is.. Steve-O actually has a very high IQ. I'm not a fan of his, but I did read his book a long time ago. He comes from a family of highly intelligent people.

SteveO is an epic grifter. As a guy who grew up with Jackass and Wild Boys, it's sad to see. He gets roasted on every pod he's on because he's comedy remedial. Everyone loves him for what we grew up with. No one respects him as a comedian.

Redbar is right. The volume levels made one of the only decent podcasts (Cumtown) unlistenable unless you're willing to sit there with a trigger finger on the volume dial. In fairness, some episodes were good enough to man the volume button. The ratio of profit/production on that podcast might be the largest number of anything ever on podcasts, tv, radio, or movies.
Back when Steve-o said “I was told you guys were good at this stuff man. They warned me about you guys.” And then at some point said “i couldn’t tell it’s like that Oliver tree type humor” shows how easily confused and easily tricked SteveO is haha dude has the social skills of a dried out sponge if, to him, Oliver tree is some deep complex cerebral genius that plays unwinable mind games with you. It’s just sad at this point how much SteveO wants every person, with any sort of following in the podcast and comedy world, to like him and think he’s super cool.

I think Steve O is ashamed of his former self. Which makes sense to an extent but he’s ashamed of his tattoos, his voice, his former persona and wants to be taken seriously as a thought leader. So he’s in this weird in between space of still doing stunts for money and having a serious online business. Either way he’s foolish.

Steve O is a product of modern corporate podcasting culture. A podcast company likely cast him because of his name. He’s nothing more than a salesman for the advertisements. The name value brings in the advertising revenue. His show is a commercial, nothing more
