thanks for the heads up. keep finding these flows before i get mine.. lol. the biggest reason i want this truck, is because the body style is the mid 70's chevy body style, which i have the 76 silverado. yes it looks like "The Fall Guy" truck. have fun
Great information kgm. Man that's bad engineering for tjat gear cover. I would d fix it and probably get rid of it. Well unless you really love that truck.
Had the same issue with the cover. Drilled through the chassis and just used a longer screw and nylock nut. Been good since. Please contact Redcat and tell them they are working on a fix and need to know what yoy did to fix it.
Great video mate I just don't understand why everyone is letting Redcat off the hook for things like this I feel like if it was Traxxas or Axial that had problems like this time and time again everyone would be far less charitable
What a terrible, terrible design. Proof that companies perform zero testing on vehicles they are about to release. Also, Redcat can claim what they want, but historically, they simply release kits under their branding that they don't design themselves but rather are designed by Chinese toy companies. Spending that much on Redcats is something I'd never, ever do. Its not the aftermarkets job to fix bad OEM designs but since there is money to be made off it, they will.
It’s a good concept but the execution was poor. I feel if the inserts were longer they would have more surface area to bite into. It happens I guess, but I do agree that they rushed this too the consumer market too fast
