That landing was absolutely brutal for the Redcat. I don't think there's much that would have taken that, and to only snap a bell crank and bend a dogbone is insane. Was expecting both arms to be toast, you've either got a good luck charm in that truck or the suspension arm guardian angels are looking out for you. 😂

$500 is my limit on buying a new release before its been out long enough to get reviewed by folks who pay for them. I broke my rule with the Redcat. I ordered it the day it was released. I wanted to support Redcat because I feel like they are listening and trying to build what we want. I'm definitely not disappointed. I haven't sent it this hard but it's taken 10-20 foot high backflips and crashes like a champ. So far mine hasn't broken. I am gonna put a Max 5 and big motor in it soon. Right now I still prefer my 8s Outcast exb but this is definitely gonna take drive time away from my Xmaxx. It handles and drives better. Almost like a plastic Arrma if that makes sense. Once it gets the big power the Outcast might get demoted. This truck is that good. Being so much cheaper is just a bonus.

Loving these vids on the Vigilante, great research for people who are wondering whether a cheaper brand of truck like this is a way to get into large scale and save some money for decent radio gear, servos and the odd bit of strengthening parts upgrades. I have a DBXL-E 2.0 and its a decent platform, sharp handling, but I'd love a plastic chassis full basher like the X-Maxx, but in Australia they are steep to get into nowadays:- $2000AUD. This truck (Vigilante) is looking more and more like it could scratch that itch!!!

The Red Cat fly so nice. Nice and level and smooth. Pretty good for a fishscale monster truck on the first version of it.👍🏼💪🏻👊🏻💯

That redcat is damn impressive! I really think it's the kaiju's big brother. It's so similar just huge! I talked to a redcat rep after I first drove the kaiju and said we needed a 1/5 scale and 2 years later, we have it! Totally sick video!

ain't no way bro!!! the pavement landing was rowdy!! but sheesh still beasting I see. I sheared some teeth off of my rear diff once I locked the center. but luckily warranty sent me all those extra gears when I first got it. back running and I must say I am super impressed with red cat. I also have the xte pro from redcat and so far is on 3s with traxxas 3551r, 26t pinion, v4 gyro, coreless servo .13s, and I've wrecked it at 50mph with no breaks multiple times. the plastic from they're older cars are a little softer. surprisingly the harder plastic they have now still flexes when it needs to pretty well. great video!! still following all these battles!

I love the Vigilante. I have zero buyer's remorse on it. It took a really hard hit with minimal damage. Again the 30 Degree North is no slouch. So I am giving it to Redcat. Key for all of them are the controlled landings where possible. You are better at that than I am. Your wallet took more damage this time losing the ESC and I know it is not cheap. Sorry about that. The more vids on these vehicles from multiple people and increased sales numbers will get us more aftermarket parts selection. I thought it was great how you started kind of soft in Vid #1 and got more aggressive in each subsequent video. Thank you for your time and hard work on these.!

I'm very impressed, that center shaft didn't bend on that RedCat, even with that bearing support, that's a brutal landing. That's what, a 40-55' jump height? And then landing on an asphalt road...Shits crazy, man. Love this stuff. And then, that swing arm didn't break on that crazy side landing. I FOR SURE, was expecting one of them to break.

Now. What i really want to know is do you prefer driving the redcat over a traxxas xrt or xmaxx. It's proven to be strong, and you seem to be able to get redcat parts. Arrma has their issues too. Is the kraton more fun? Just curious. I have driven an xrt and xmaxx. Not not anything else comparable. I loved driving the xrt but traxxas can't seem to make anything realistic looking other than the udr and trx4, niether of those are bashers

Hey @thunderrc what center diff mount and motor mount are you using in the 30degree north? I’m using the stupid rc mount and it’s not so good. Looking for a better option. Thanks you’re the man!

Hey man got my own red cat vigilante had problems with the front differential and rear ring gear pinion gear stripping out, i think it's due to the fact that I went to the 5690 motor too much for stock ring and pinion gear to handle. Put 23t pinion gear on stock set up much snapper and no more problems. Yes that's the only thing I've broken and I've bash the shit out of it and I don't land as good as you. Love this truck, Only thing I hate not much space for bigger batteries but I made some modifications that work
