And dominator has additives for clutches in dirt bikes and its gooey. If we all used the same and did the same things this would be a boring hobby. You run what you run and I run what I run. Dominator is good for 60:1 Saber is professional oil not just for weed eaters. Real the label its good for all other two stroke applications as well. Dom and klotz are both good oils too.
@@eastsiderc true i just prefer a good dirtbike oil and ive herd of ppl running 50 and 60to1 but all my cousins and friends that ride dirtbikes run 32 or 28to1 so that what i run.just my opinion, love tha channel by the way.
I've been waiting for this video now my mind is made up about to put my order in it looks like this engine is going to be a ripper thanks 👏👌👍 I have a obr side pipe I'm curious to see if it responds well with that pipe
Brother that is great to hear. I think its going to be a fun engine when its ran in! it sounded great. I was shocked at the rpms and it was not peaking yet crackling. That was an out of the box tune! Im going to play around with it and find what it likes best as far as gears n Vstack n filter go!
hi pal ive just put mine into my q baja and it wont wheelie and ive had to take the air filter off just to get it moving, but with air filter off it only takes off at high revs and ye wont wheelie any help ty.
Ok brother you may have an issue. Fearless RC got a bad run of 38’s and the crank seal on one side is not seated and walks out thus creating a lean condition killing power and burning up the engine. You may want to check your seals. If the seals are okay then your tune is way off and needs to be adjusted.
Sounds awesome... so curious to see if the 38cc ends up being a killer engine... the Rovan 45cc just didn't inspire me on most vids (except East Side)... low revs maybe? I hope the 38cc will be good in 30°N DDT... I love the 2wd action though...
The 45 is actually a very fun engine. I will make some vids with it this fall. I gotta rebuild the engine and Ill take it out. It does not rev high at all. But it aint too bad. This 38 seems like it will make some rpms so we shall see. I was surprised it went over 12k in such a short distance.
I got a olimat silenced pipe, would that work with the 38-45 30DN / Rovan engines? It’s currently on my rovan 36cc Thanks in advance, another great video bro 👊
Hey brother I know u have plenty of engines I’m on the border line. What do u think for my Rovan Hybrid the OBR 34cc full mod 7.9hp full mod or the 38cc??
Hmm well the 38cc is actually a good cheap option that pulls decent gears really. The obr is case read so you will loose a little torque their. Have you considered a Taylor 35? They cost about as much as that OBR but more powerful Id say.
Yea man I will get to it. Ive been so busy I haven’t had much time to do what I want to do because Ive been helping others but Im all caught up now and can start wrenching soon. Ive got a pile of wrenching to do !
Yessir I run all my two strokes as rich as I possibly can on the low and clean up the tune with the high needle! I love making power! Beautiful Dog bro
If you have not retuned after changing the pipe then You definitely need to retune it. But it is also possible its to much for a 30.5. It has a rather large stinger. Tuner up brother💪🤝
Its from DDM and it has a thin red wire that you curl around the spark plug wire and then zip tie it off. It works well and the most accurate one I have used. I have gotten one bad one though. They are 50 bucks and go on sale sometimes from DDM. You can also buy it from Detroit Performance RC on line
Why is it so hard to pull sometimes? For me, I had to pull so hard just to get it to start. Broke my rope twice and had to buy a electric starter to make it work and start with my drill instead of the pull string
The 38cc has some decent compression because of the small combustion chamber, if you load it with a little too much fuel ⛽️ that will increase the felt compression. That engine just needs a good ratcheting type easy start or a Taylor RC pull start those are tough and get it going. Fearless sells the ratcheting pull start you will have to change the flywheel though. But the pull starts come with the pawl assembly. They are really nice you dont need to yank the piss out of them. You pull the string until you feel the pawls catch and then you just pull the string up and the spring in the pull start helps spin the engine over. They are my favorite pull starts because breaking strings is no fun!
@eastsiderc lol thanks. Last time I flooded it and all the fuel finally came out. Then once it was all out (which by the way, I had it tipped over) it still felt hard to pull. It makes sense it is hard to pull it cause of the 38cc compression for sure just never knew it was so hard to pull without heating the engine with a heat gun.
No man it runs quite well for not really being done right 😆! Its cheap enough too and made of good quality parts! However as good as it runs there is A LOT of room for improvement in this little power house.
@@eastsiderc oh wow bruh, I never seen nobody rip a little bit with a brand new engine with out putting it on the the stand and do heat cycles. I'm truly confused now?
@@thatoneguy2756 yessir box stock . Stock gearing 17/57 and it will pull I would say 19/55 when ran in . Only mods are the Velocity stack thats it . Box stock tune too. I only adjusted the idle about a half a turn in . It will be a different animal at mom n dads with a spot on tune and long pulls to see what kind of RPMs it makes .
